Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is a specially designrd one by the medical council of India. It consists of 4.5 years of study including 1 year of compulsory rotatory intenship. Course has 14 major subject & 5 minor subjects divided over 4.5 years. Ist year has Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry. 2nd year has Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic medicine. 3rd year has Ent, Eye, Community medicine. 4 th year has Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology & Pediatrics. Exam is held yearly by the university. Semester exams are held by the college.
Placement Experience
After passing students are directly placed in rural postings at primary health centres. College provides 1 year of internship with monthly stipend of around Rs 30000. After internships students are sent to their rural postings.
College Events
Various types of events are held all round the year. Various cultural events, religious festivals, patriotic events, sports meet, quiz competitions are held. One in year college week is celebrated with some renouned personality performing every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible for the students. As it is a government college a meagre amount is required every yearly. At the start of admission Rs 30000-40000 are needed. Then yearly around Rs 5000-10000 are required.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarships that can be used by the same students. Central government has provided a scheme for the northeastern students named ISHAN UDAY. There are other scholarships that the minorities can claim.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are held on regular basis. Various debate competitions, Quiz events, Sports meet, cultural events are held in the college. Inter college events are also held in the college.

Admission
Admission into the college is through National Eligibility Entrance Test ( NEET) - undergraduate exam. Form fillup for this test starts in month of November or December. Exam is usually held in the month of May. Exam pattern consists of Physics 90 questions, Chemistry 90 questions, Biology 180 question. Each question is a MCQ of 4 marks each with negative marking included.
Faculty
Faculty are highly educated and qualified medical professionals. Faculty are highly motivated to teach the students. Faculty are doctors of same department of the subject they teach. Faculty are extremely helpful & cooperative.
