My Journey with Amity Business School

Course curriculum was pretty great. It was customised so as to match the pace with the rapidly growing corporate sector of India. College creates their own curriculum and entire course is divided into a four semesters with 9 subjects per semester. In addition to that, we studied some additional elective subjects like one foreign language which was french, behavioural science, etc. Overall the curriculum was very informative, especially in terms of the adapting it for the benefit of the society.

Placements are pretty decent in our college. Our placement works hard in order to maintain a close tie-up with many big brands. They will invite these corporate representatives for on-campus placements and internships. In addition to that, dedicated personality development sessions and mock interview sessions are also organized in the campus in order to psychologically prepare students for the placement process. Almost around 80 % of the students secured a placement during the placement drives, while many went for their own ventures.

Events are very joyfully celebrated in our college. Amity Youth Fest is the annual fest organised by the college which lasts for three days. Numerous cultural performances, celebrity performances, ramp walk, quiz competitions and many more fun activities take place right here in the college. Our college believes in the celebration of life.

My annual fee was around 6 lacs which was to be paid on semester basis. In total, I paid 12 lacs for the MBA program. Our college is one of the best private colleges in India and the fee which seemed hefty in the beginning, seemed pretty reasonable at the end of the course.

Numerous scholarships are offered by our University. Merit based Scholarship account for the students with excellent academic record. Students have to apply during the time of admissions and stand a chance of a fee relaxation, as much as 80-100 %. Apart from that, scholarships are awarded to girl child and sports personnel on presenting the relevant documents.

Admissions to the MBA program is granted on the basis of entrance exam scores. I downloaded the application from from the official website and submitted the form in the department itself. I had scored 88 %ile in m CAT exam and my overall academic performance was good. After that, I was invited for the counselling round which consisted of a written test and an Interview round. Interview was very strict and grilling, but eventually it all went well.

All of our faculty members were adequately qualified and had a corporate experience of at least 10+ years. We shared a very profound bond with them and they all were very keen towards guiding us in the right direction. They try to infuse innovation amongst us and would constantly push us towards entrepreneurship.
