Remarks

The college is good in terms of Infrastructure and space. Although it lacks when it comes to management facilities. The college officials are sometimes not that helpful and cause a delay in the work. However, Overall the college is good for the undergraduate course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum of the college is prescribed by Delhi University and is common to all the colleges under the university. The college curriculum is divided into six semesters conducted on the halfyearly basis in three years. The college examinations consist of Internal and external examination. There are practical subjects as well.

Placement Experience

2

The placement of the college is not satisfactory. If compared to other colleges of Delhi University, the placement opportunities are comparatively less. Although Few companies like Ernst and Young, Urban Clap, Royal Bank of Scotland visit the campus.

College Events

5

There are many events celebrated at the college SABRANG- This is the three-day grand annual fest of the college. COMMERCE FEST-COMSOC: This is 3-day annual fest by commerce society of the college. NCC- There are many fests organised by NCC regularly at college. NSS- National Social Service of the college organises various workshops. DRAMSOC- The drama society of the college is brilliant and engaged in many activities. The dance society of the college is also encouraging. The college also has facilities for weightlifting, Karate, Archery, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are really feasible as it is a government college. The fees are less than 10,000 annually. The college accepts online mode of payment of fees. The college provides full transparency of the breakdown of the fee. For any problem, college officials are always ready for students to help. The travelling expenses are also cheap. The college has direct connectivity to Magenta and Violet line metros station.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no general scholarship available for students. Although a financial aid (fee reimbursement) scholarship is provided to students on the basis of merit and management quota students at the campus which can be availed after submission of the prescribed format college office.

Campus Life

3.5

The college offers a great campus life. A lot of friends, fun and chill is waiting at the college. Your college life is going to be filled with a lot of new experience and definitely this will help in the overall development of the student's personality. The college has a good library, photostat shop, great labs at the campus, gym, and all other facilities for sports. Separate archery ground and basketball court are available at the campus. You will not face any issue if you are keen to learn new things and explore yourself.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not that strong. However, Since the college is age-old, it offers a great recognition for the students. The college is known to the general public and your seniors when you step out of the college.

Admission

Hi Guys, I secured 95% marks in 10+2 and I got admission in the college on the basis of my 12th percentage. Everyone who wishes to pursue courses at Delhi University needs to fill UG Registration forms available on Du website in the month of April. Once the form filling process is over, the colleges release their cut off for each course. If we talk about B.com Hons at Deshbandhu College, the cut off at my time (2015) was 95% for general category and Maths was a compulsory subject to get into the course.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is good. Daily 3 to 4 lectures are scheduled. The classes are conducted generally from Monday to Friday. Although sometimes, the classes scheduled are cancelled before prior knowledge. The time table is released by the department. The faculties are supportive and guide students at every step. Various festivals and activities like seminars etc are regularly conducted by the department.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
