Remarks
I always wanted to study in this college right from my childhood when I used to cross the college on my way to school.The beautiful campus welcomes beautiful butterflies.A well maintained college with great infrastructure.The garden is the main physical attraction of this college. Its really apt to call this college Beauty Bishop.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course i have Opted is BA.English Literature, this is a great course for those who wanna a become a writer in a news firm or become a professor,its not a tough course to undergo. The exam structure is there will be 2 internal tests and finally a semester exam.The internals test play a vital role in the final total of the semester marks.
Placement Experience
I didn't expect such a lot of placement opportunities from a Arts& Science college. But we have a lot of campus drive from the start of the 2nd year of course.And I am currently in the final year,there are lots of schools and other companies coming to our college for campus drive.
College Events
There are seperate Department functions and students are also taken to other colleges for cultural competitions. There is a cultural fest conducted in the college Its called Festaurum, which acts as a platform for students to exhibit their unique talents.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is not that expensive. I would say it is lesser than the school fees I used to pay. I am paying an average of 17000 per semester, the fees changes as per the course you opt for.Science students pay extra as lab fees
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship for students with single parent and a low annual income, and there is also a free meal program for those students.Apart from these the college is also providing fees concessions to students whom struggle to pay the fees
Campus Life
There is no gender discrimination in the college, This college has 70% female students. If you take sports the college excels in football and cricket.There is a gym with seperate time for girls and boys to maintain a perfect physique
Alumni/Alumna
We have lot of contacts with our seniors who studied here and now many of them are doing their higher studies in abroad. Its very helpful for us to be in contact with our seniors because they could help us and clear our doubts of pursuing higher education in countries were they are currently in.
Admission
There will be two seperate application forms for Arts & science courses, we have to get the application form based on our choice of course, fill up the particulars and attach the 10th marksheet copy and 12th std provisional marksheet and submit it for the review, once we get selected we will be notified through sms or email and also a list will be put up on the college notice board and we should go to the college for a interview (not a typical interview) once its done we would be asked to pay the fees to book the seat.
Faculty
This college has a large faculty,there is a minimum of 30 staffs per department.There are some highly intellect staffs and some average staffs but all are ready to clear whatever doubts we have related to the subject.
