College management should be more active in training and placement. Efforts should be put to get good faculty members.
Course Curriculum Overview
The learning is quite streamlined and very convenient to grab the essence. Initially a generic curriculum will be followed for a year. In the subsequent years, the course will get deeper into the stream. The whole process of getting deeper is quite gradual and thus, helps a student to understand the course without much pressure.
Placement Experience
For both placement and internship, the college takes up no initiative. Absolute zero at least for my branch. But yes the students in t&p try a lot to get people in for placements! For internship, people have to try on their own to get in. It's basically an individual effort.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Mine was a self-paid course. Hence it was a bit pricey. But then for other branches, it was a little cheaper. Moreover, if you get TFW, it becomes even cheaper. Since its a govt college, it charges a feasible fee I believe. But they charge multiple times for fests and picnic. That's disappointing.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't get any scholarship. But people belonging to an economically backward class or reserved category get around 15000 per semester which is quite a lot I feel.
Campus Life
There is always a 2:3 girl-boy ratio in the college for every event, competition or classroom in general. Campus life is amazing apart from some strict time constraint. Girls r not allowed to leave the hostel after 6 pm. Neither allowed getting into hostel after 7 pm.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel mess is good. Food was manageable. Warden was terrible. Especially in the one where 1st yr and 2nd yr girls stay. Rooms are not bad. Management must rethink about the entry and exit policy of the hostels for a better discipline. Everything else is just fine.
Alumni/Alumna
Experience with seniors is really great. We got to learn a lot from them. They not only help us academically but also on a personal level.
Admission
I appeared for JEE Mains and got a call for counselling post the result declaration. I opted for this college as it belongs to state govt. And hence has a good reputation in my state. As my field of interest was definitely to get into telecommunications. I opted for this stream. The admission procedure was pretty simple and hassle-free.
Faculty
No. Of good lectures are a bit disappointed to be honest. Most of the lectures are on temporary basis or continuing with their phd work side by side. The course for a semester is not covered by lecturer entirely. Hence, students learn atleast 1 complete module per semester on avg on their own. It is not covered by the lecturers.
