Overall VNIT as a college is very good and will help an individual to grow his overall personality as students come from each and every part of india. The reseach that happens at college is not at par with that happens at IITs.

The course structure is good. In first year the students are given the basic idea of each and every subject and all branches of engineering. In second year students study branch specific subjects which are uniquely designed for each and every department. further in third and final year students are also offered with a number of elective subjects to cjoose from

Mechanical, Computer science, Electrical departments have 100% placement, where as other departments have 70-80% placements. Internships opportunities are provided to all students through alum network or students can also approach their respective professors they are more than happy to help

Axis-Technical Event(Conducted each year in the month of february- march) Aarohi-Cultural Event(among the largest cultural events of central India Conducted each year in the month of October-November)

The fee structure is according to the Government of India and is lower than that charged by the private colleges. Considering the all the facilities that are offered to the students in the campus. I must say that the fees being charged is feasible.

The campus has two banks Canara bank and State Bank of India both the banks provide easy access to loan to students. where as scholarships are also offered to students by their respective states and academic office helps in this regard

There is a 9 days inter department sports cum cultural competition held each year. The sports facilities are excellent comprising of a big ground, indoor badminton and table tennis, outdoor lawn tennis and basketball

The hostel facilities that are offered to the student are Good. The first and second year students are provided twin sharing rooms, Whereas the third and final year students are provided with single accommodation. WIFI facilities are excellent with very high speed.

Alumni network is strong, and they are always ready to help if approached. most of the internships offered to third year students are through alumni network. Also companies keep coming back for placements regularly due to good conduct of alumnus.

Students have to appear for JEE Mains which is conducted every year by CBSE. It happens twice a year and best of two is considered. Once the exam results are out along with the merit number the admissions start in to the college. The selection will depend upon your Merit number
