Remarks
Although it's my alma mater, I have to say that other branches including CSE, IT, Civil, are good, but somehow I didn't enjoy my college journey.
Course Curriculum Overview
I don't really feel that the course at my college is research-driven. Especially for my field, our department is allotted for its reconstruction since my admission, yet the work hasn't been started! Therefore, we could not enjoy the practicals, as most of the machines were worn out, and were not maintained, some showed the false results. The only Industrial visit organized was through talks, they were never executed.
Placement Experience
Placement from IT companies is the most, very few companies are coming for the core branches. And so, many of us from the Mechanical branch are unplaced.
College Events
There are alumni meet organized every year during the month of December. After that, the cultural fest is organized, in the month of February. And, in late February, our technical Festival Prajwalan is organized. So, in all these are the three big-budget events that are conducted by our college students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When we compare the fees structure with the private institutions across the country for the same course, it is ofcourse feasible. But when we talk about facilities, workshops, lab equipment, we lack this in every way possible. There are no additional fees or charges, and yes, the college provides transparency in the fee breakdown.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college offered a scholarship to economically backward classes of the society. Other than this, there were some private firms, that conducted exams, and provided a scholarship.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is good enough. About campus life, I would rate is average, the boy's hostel is kind of shabby, the gymnasium doesn't have any types of equipment working. I had participated in Robocon, through my college, other competitions are also held, but interaction is not up to mark.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is good, they provide funding to the college, but I would expect them to provide career advices to the students
Admission
I thought mechanical engineering is a versatile branch, and further I could opt-in any other field. Well, I had not taken much advice during my enrollment, so it was just my father who made me choose it. I got admission to GCOEA through the MHCET score, you'll require domicile, TC, caste certificate, etc.
Faculty
I guess, the tentative number of lectures are hard to mention, but they are enough. I feel that our curriculum has not been updated, with the modern world. Our professors are very good in the way they teach. There were no relevant industry experience certifications, although, industry expert lecturers well held, which pushed us to think about ENTREPRENEURSHIP
