Alumni/Alumna

They are very helpful. When new students take admission they welcome them providing them with the roses. Then they organise freshers party. They do help us at the time when we are listed amongst the low attendance list.

Admission

Im a commerce student suffering from financial instability. For a student like us pursuing Graduation is a little dufficult thing. This is a government college having very low and pocket friendly fees. It enables to pursue this course to all those students having a poor financial background. Also this college has a very high cut off percentiles for the admission. But also provides many scholarships. All these are my reasons tht i joined this college. And also it is one of the best commerce college in India and stands on 1st position Under Calcutta University.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of Goenka college of commerce and business administration Are very good. They look after every student, solves their problems, encourage them to take part in different kind of competitions. Most of the faculty are Ph.D amd have great knowledge abt the course.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
