The restrictions imposed these days are much and checkings by admin staff. The students due to a high batch size are very competative hence a lot of learning takes place. People are from diverse backgrounds helps you gain an experience of many things.

The academic learning is good. However, not all the faculties are upto the mark. The college has been trying to bring changes to the course structure in recent days and working on building the reputaion of the institution. Learning also involves multiple subjects like on field SSR course and committees. A 2 month summer internship program gives you an idea about the industry.

Placenents are decent as compared to new IIMs, if you are in the top 200 of the batch no doubt you get a placement in the likes of top 10 institutes. The averages mentioned on the website reflects the real picture but the median would be on a lower side. The lineup of companies isn't fixes a copay paying 24 LPA would be followed by one paying 12LPA and then another 24LPA hence its all luck at times. Summers are decent too. All of the students get placed.

IMT is also known as sports college and its party clture is always in talk. There are numerous events going on ranging an average of an event every 2/3 weeks. Participation in events range from almost everywhere around the country. People actively take part. Chakravyuh, Olympics of B- Schools is one such sports event celebrated for 3 days witness' the likes of Bhaichung Bhutia. A lot of top industry leaders do come for a few events.

As compared to its peers. IMT has the least fees. while other colleges charge from 16 to 24 lakhs without hostel and food. IMT charges you 19 lakhs including everything, from hostel to mess which has very good food in comparision to others. The hostels are fully air conditioned on 1/2 sharing basis with no extra charges for single occupancy.

SBI scholar loan is the best option for wtudents to avail loans. There are many other scholarships available to students based on merit and mean basis. The loan process do not take much time to get processed.

IMT has a reputation of sports college. The students are very active both in cultural and in sports activities. Students travel to places to take part in competitions which are encouraged by the institution.

The hostels are fully air conditiones with new blcks under construction are feast to eyes. The rooms are spacious with 24 hour electricity, wifI and hot water(seasonal). The mess food is upto the mark with active participation from students in mess work. Since all the infrastructure requirements are taken care by the students as committees there is a direct feedback system to address problems. The canteens are available 24 hours.

IMT has a huge alumnI network. However, not always you receieve a ositive response from the alums while some really help you a lot. It is easy to develop a common ground to begin communicate with the alumni.

You appear for CAT/XAT after which you apply for the college from the admission portal by paying an application fee of around Rs. 2000. Based on your score in the test (90 percentile cutoff when I joined) you are called for an interview process which has a group exercise followed by a personal interview. You are offered an admission based on your overall performance.

Faculty ranges from too good to bad. However the institution has been working to improve the quality by taking regular feedbacks. But not sure how long is it going to take. There are some amazing facultines in the area of marketing. The rule of age bar make the college to loose on some of the very good faculties like SinghvI and Ahuja sir.
