Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course adopted by our college is different from many of other colleges like we start learning programming language with beginning of the session, we learn communication skills in very 1st year, microeconomics also in our syllabi, etc. The course structure is mainly based on industrial and placement companies point of views. Our course structure give less value to research as the topics doesn't thought in broad. Here in normal days classes of 3 hours and in lab days classes are of 5 hours.

Placement Experience

3.5

Approximately all the students who want to pursue a job, get placed. But the average package is 3. 5 lacs CTC. 70% students were recruited by mass recruiters like Infosys, Wipro, TCS and cognizant. Multinational tech companies also visit here for both in campus and off- campus recruitment. Last year a student also joined Microsoft on campus drive. Deloitte, Accenture, Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, etc. also, come for campus placement.

College Events

4

A lot of events and fests take place in which you have a chance to show your talent. There is annual fest in early January but most of the non- local students miss this because of post semester holidays. Every year the college organises events like the cultural fest- Genesis, SOA- MUN, and other cultural events periodically. The college has also several clubs where the students having particular interest could join with like- minded people. Here, there are many clubs and you easily fit in at least one of them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive, at the time of admission you should pay ?10000 for admission related formalities. After that there is course fee of 235000. And also you should pay refundable security deposit for three different prospectives. Hostel fee is 48000 and for mess you charged 30000. With respect to money only KIIT is more expansive than our college in Bhubaneswar.

Fees and Financial Aid

They assure you to provide scholarship but I have not got any scholarship yet, even after meeting all the requirements. Here most of the college staff lie to get you admitted in this college. As they told that college also gives scholarships according to your performance. You can get a scholarship only if you have greater than 8 CGPA in the semester and attendance is greater than 80%.

Campus Life

4

College have a better' gender ratio than the engineering colleges as we usually see very less nos. girls students with respect to boys. The ratio of girls with respect to boys is 3:5. Cultural activities also organised here which is mainly based on oria culture. Students of this college are good and helpful. In our college or we said in Orissa there is very less chance of religion discrimination as here people know to respect other religions. The campus is free with political activities and political affects also there is not any student union.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

All the hostels are good with 24x7 Wi- FI facility, but the quality of food served in the mess isn't that good. In every hostel, there is a game room for indoor games. There are also hostels built within the campus boundary. There is an option for AC and Non AC rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are good by cooperative nature and guidance. There is very less cases of ragging, which are usually not much to complained about. The seniors have knowledge beyond syllabus is known very little. However, they are good and very cooperative in class and outside. Overall, they're experienced in what they're studied. Here alumnI network is poor and very less interaction with them. So there is no experience I got by any our college alumni.

Admission

On the basis of JEE mains percentile I applied for admission and got admitted to cse branch. The criteria of admission in this college is more easier as they take admission of students who get more than 45% in 12th boards examination or its equivalent.

Faculty

3

1st year students are taught by assistant professors. Here faculty members have degrees and research paper, but you do not find them as experienced and knowledgeable as they should be. They usually taught with the help of study material. They only try to complete the course and for non- Odia students, they are not so much supportive.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
