Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum very best suits my stream. The college has FFCS which means students get to choose what they study and under whom. Students get to choose how many credits they want in particular SEM and in what slots do they want their classes. The curriculum is very well groomed to help student secure best in class on campus placements. The industrial visits are aptly designed to provide a fun learning experience. Being in a city like Chennai the opportunities are endless.
Placement Experience
Numerous companies as in Microsoft, Deloitte, Cognizant, TCS and others participate in placements. To be frank I can't provide much information as I am just a first year. No I haven't savaged any internships yet.
College Events
Vibrance the cultural event and technovit the technical fest. Fund infusion of about 2 core was made for cultural fest to invite artists for Pro shows like DJ night, North night and South night. The students were allowed to enterpreneurs for 3 day fest and there were many more competition like singing drama dance where all copies colleges from South participated with a footfall of more than 10000
Fee Structure And Facilities
It depends on your rank in VITEE as the slots vary. The first slot gets around 200000 and the slots vary to till 5 and have a difference of about 1 lakh. The fees paid are transparent as the entire system is online be it credit debit or UPI. The entire yearly payment needs to be done in advance.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, scholarships are not offered at the college. The institute is a private institute and hence the scholarships are not provided here.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is poor. The university has more than 60 clubs. The student are from various states from India and are friendly with each other. The people here cooperative and are like family. We cry together, be angry together and even celebrate together.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, the hostel rooms are available in 2,3 or 4 bed AC and non ac. 3 and 4 bed rooms are bunker beds with fares double the non ac fares for ac. Fares start from 40000 per year to 90000 for non ac. The rooms are cleaned every evening by cleaners. AC is available from 6pm to 6am. And maintenance is done promptly on complaints.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the seniors here are much helpful in providing advice and help regarding the assignments. The campus is ragging free campus.
Admission
Through VITEE. I opted for the course due to my interest. The university is known for its rules that help students keep themselves from diverted and the best placements here. The admission process application starts around Oct and gets over by Feb. The exam happens around end of April and the counseling gets over by mid of may.
Faculty
CSE core faculties are less educated about the modern trends in the technologies, but anyways they can't be blamed since the tech is evolving everyday and documentations for them are few. The lecturers are many and almost all are in aged above 50 which implies they are stubborn to learn new stuff. But whenever asked they positively get back to you with a solution.
