My college experience

Quite good and feasible. This university provides a high quality education in a very low fees. College management could be improved a bit.

Course curriculum is as of the most colleges.8 semester. Still now.i am in 1 st year, that is not industry relevant curriculum. But yes teachers do help to know about industrial view if interested. And also there are lots of club,which focuses on direct opportunity of students to the exposure of industry. But it is research based i must say.

Placement is very good for our college. In Computer science almost 95 to 100%placement. Top salary almost 42 lakhs till now. Average salary is 16 lakh or above Electronics and communication (ETCE).their placement is also very impressive. Almost 100%placement. Electrical.94%placemnt Mechanical.85-90%placement. Civil, production, chemical.other batches placement is also impressive. Even PSU s came here to hire freshers. Iternship is available here. As i am a 1 st year student i havent availed it till now

Srijan-----techno management fest Sanskriti----cultural fest organised by both arts and engineering departments. These two are the biggest fest organised by Jadavpur University. Sanskriti is considered as the largest fest in east india. A lot of cultural programmes take place here.

This is the most cheapest college if fees is considered. The total fees of 4 years is 10,000 which ofcourse is feasible if compared to other engineering colleges. And also world class education is provided. No additional fees need to be paid. Yes fee breakdown is also provided in the university website.one can easily check out from there.

No i haven't availed any.though college (being a state aided university) provides government scholarship. This scholarship programmes are generally for poor students whose familys annual income is less. Some criteria are provided in the scholarship programmes, which need to be fullfileed and one gets scholarship.

Campus life. i havent experienced as i dont live in hostel.but the social life is awesome. Though some drawbacks are there.still it doesn't work for all. Junior senior interaction is the most important factor,which is maintained quite well here. No ragging has been personally experienced by me. And even doesn't happen now a days(almost from 7 years back). FETSU is the main union of Engineering students. Workshops are arranged here mainly by clubs.which are actually quite helpful to the students.

Alumni Network is the base of the greatness of this university. It is said that Jadavpurians are all around the world. They feel proud for their college. Even when any fests are being organised or anything.alumni ar contacted.they bece more than happy to be a part of it.

WBJEE is the exam through which i have entered. To enter this institution one need to rank almost under thousand (for general). It is one of the most eminent university ( state aided). Placement packages, senior junior interaction(came to know by some seniors). And to explore new brilliant ideas.

SNM sir. Thermodynamics professor.a very knowledgeable sir.good for good bad for the bad.Age almost 60 ASD. Mechanics professor.very good young professor.age almost 35.punctual AJC sir.i dont have the words to describe him.very very very much knowledgeable teacher. expertise in biomedical sector.rewarded as young scientist And many other sirs are there.all are huge source of knowledge.
