Remarks
I have explained everything in detail about the college above and nothing else is left, I feel there are some drawbacks of each institution and here nothing is different but I am glad that the heads of the college are working hard to overcome those.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is constantly changing according to industry needs. I have myself seen a lot of new courses being added. Exam structure is decent. There are quizzes and also practical exams along with normal exams
Placement Experience
Yes, placements are quite decent and in many cases better than NITs as well, companies like Microsoft (42lpa, 80k stipend pm) and Goldman sachs(75k stipend) and American Express, arcesium, JP Morgan and many other companies visit our campus for internship as well as placements. For non circuital branches, placements are not as good as for circuital but companies like Maruti, L&T, etc visit the campus.
College Events
Our college test known as PECFEST is an annual event where students work hard day and night to bring stars like Farhan Akhtar, Sukhwinder Singh, guru Randhawa and many more along with EDM nights by world class DJs, along with this our college’s cultural and technical clubs are very active and perform and tak part in events all over India. Our drama club DRAMS is one of the best in india
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is very nominal for a bachelors program, it is 60k per semester for my year. And a plus 5k for every following year. The fee structure is way less than any private college and even IITs and NITs
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college has a very nice scheme for EWS, they provide. College fee is waived off for anyone with EWS certificate. Many programs which includes fee waiver for top 2-3 students of each branch and year
Campus Life
Gender ratio is low for obvious reasons, it being an engineering college. Workshops by industry experts are conducted regularly. There is no politics inside the institution. Our college has great sports facilities, with newly build swimming pool, tennis court and cricket ground with flood lights
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful, alumni is strong, alumni is strong in different parts of the world. They strongly contribute to welfare of their college both in monetary terms as well as tech knowledge, alumni meets are conducted each year by the college and discussion are held for betterment of the college
Admission
I gave jee main for admission. You need a good rank under 50k for admission in this college. There were 3 rounds of counselling after which I got admission here. It is a very old college and has a great alumni.
Faculty
Faculty includes people with a masters degree. They are good at their specialisations. However I feel the need to change the faculty of a few departments as the faculty is very old. Having young faculty improves the learning
