Entrance Preview

WBJEE. Rank 19800, I always wanted to be a computer engineer so I chose this course, and I wanted to come to kolkata as I belong to a smaller town, and I chose this college because of my rank.

Internships Opportunities

Actually there was to intership, we did industrial trainings where we could do a project for learning purpose. But many companies came like ITC, TCS, Zenser and many more for the placement with good packages.

College Events

Our college holds a festival for every important occasion like teacher's day, environmental day. The freshers are welcomed in a festive way. And a grand festival is organised every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No idea about it as I did not need any loan facilities.

Campus Life

Every year a technical festival, a sports event (indoor and outdoor) are organised. I participated in cricket tournament two times. Won second time, but went to the finals in the first occasion as well.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very very helpful indeed. They never ragged us. Always friendly and ready to help.

I must say the faculties are excellent. But because of the university(WBUT) the syllabus of the course is not that good. But the college provided me enough facilities.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The overall campus life and experience is good . Good infrastructure and very nice events.

I applied to scotting church and jis university also. I prefered this college as it is affordable with good reputation and is near my home . I achived 15000 rank in wbjee so according to my rank and location i choose this college.
