College Review

Positive: Serious about placements of students and the fees are quite less with comparison to other Colleges. Negative: Poor infrastructure and almost no trees around the campus. Teachers are not up to the mark most of the times

Our College comes under BPUT where an old curriculum is followed. Even if after hearing the name of subject someone will say that they are following the time but just through theory which is always the pivot of focus not the practical. The exam pattern is pretty good and days are usually not hectic.

Placements and job opportunities are good as per the standard of the College as almost more than 80% of the students get placed every year. Our College is good at collecting information and sends us to the off-campus or pooled campus generally. Companies like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Vedantu, Toppr, etc came offering around 1.5-4.5Lc package pr annum.

Our College just celebrates the annual sports meet, cultural fest and tech fest. And that is it. Not more emphasize is given for celebrating various national events. But while the sports or the annual fests, a lot of students actively participate. Moreover, our College organises 24 hr hackathon every year where students from across the state participate.

The fee structure is: 80000 for the tuition fee, 5000 for the University subject registration fee, 12000 for transport and 67000 for the hostel that includes both room and food. Fee is quiet feasible and you can pay in 2 emis with Rs2000 extra.

If you come under low-income family group the College can help you getting the Medhabruti scholarship which is being provided by the Odisha Government. And in case you have secured more than 80% in your 12th board you can opt for central sector scholarship via College.

Gender ratio is great except for a few branches like civil and mechanical. No parties are allowed inside campus. Workshops are conducted occasionally. We have various clubs but they function like zombies you can never if they function.There is no ragging policy which is somewhat followed.

Mostly the hostel rooms are shared by 4 people and its size is sufficient enough for four people. However, the bathroom conditions are not up to the mark. In case you don't get the hostel seat, there's a lot of other option to live like PGs, rented apartments, etc which are feasible.

We hardly had a chance to interact with the passed-outs. But got a lot of time with the current seniors and had a lot of fun and learning. From the first time experience living in hostel to submitting the tasks on time.

After receiving the results of the JEE mains, I got to select various Colleges along with the desired stream, I selected few according to my preference in Which my current College was in my first priority. I got conformation and date of admission. On that day I went there followed all the basic formalities and got my admission.

Only few of the faculty meets the mark. All other are not good as teachers. Its like they just come with their notes and read it in the class and acting in labs like we have learnt everything from mother's womb.
