Remarks
Management is not so good. As students feel unsafe from outside people of varanasi.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very well planned by the experts. They don't only teach us the things of electrical engineering. They also gives us knowledge of different branches which will help us in real life industry problems. They made us explore different branches by which we can decide, in which branch our real interest lies. So that we can work on our interests. Our one year is divided into two semesters which have mid semester exams and end semester exams to regularly check on our knowledge. As many students in engineering colleges are inclined towards competitive programming, they teach programming languages to every branch. so students can give a start to their interests
Placement Experience
Placements are very well in our college. Internships from college are introduced in 3rd year for B.Tech students. Placement percentage of electrical branch students is 100% from past 3 years. And median salary of placement in college is 12 lakh p.a. and for electrical engineering brach, it is 26 lakh.
College Events
Many fests are keep celebrated in IITs. Technex is the technical fest that held in February. It is a three day fest organised at very big scale. Participants from different colleges all over India came to IIT BHU for competitions. More than 50 different competitions are organized like robo war, astro quiz, car race, etc. Kashiyatra is the cultural fest. Many guests are invited in these fests which entertain the students in night concerts. Spardha is a three day sports fest which is India's largest college sports fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's very expensive. Nearly 3 lakh is the total fees we pay to our college including mess charge and accommodation fees. Nearly 2 lakh 40 thousand is tuition fees. They accept payment through SBI pay portal which accepts credit card, debit card and demand drafts. IIT BHU provides full transparency in fee breakdown.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, i didn't opted for any scholarship. My college provide scholarship for SC, ST and GEN(EWS) candidates. They provide 100% waiver on tuition fees.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is really very poor in engineering colleges. In my batch there are 22 girls on 112 boys. There are many clubs in my college for extracurricular activities. If anybody want to learn something new they are always welcome there. One can always learn in these clubs. Many competitions are held in fests of these clubs to encourage the interest in activites. And almost all the festivals of every religion are celebrated there very well. Regular workshops of every clubs are being organised and club members always kept threwing parties for refreshment of juniors.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. My hostel's name is aryabhatta hostel. Three students live in a room. Rooms are quite congested and small for three people. Two almirahs are made in a room for three students. So they have to share space.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors of our college are very helpful. They always keep guiding us. They are very interactive. We never felt like they are senior to us. They always treat us like their friends and guide us to best of their knowledge.
Admission
I got admission through Joint Entrance Exam (JEE), advanced 2019. First i have to clear jee mains held on 8 jan 2019 to be elligible to give jee advanced which was on 26 may 2019. I got 3335 rank in jee advanced. The seat allotment in all IITs and NITs are done by jossa which allots seats to students according to students' choice filling, giving priority to upper rankers. I choose IIT BHU because of its placement and nice campus life. This institution is situated in between the city which gives us very good social life.
Faculty
Lecturers of IIT are really well qualified. My course have more than 50 different lecturers for different subjects taught to us in 4 years. Most of them are older than 40 years. And they have degrees of btech mtech and phd in that particular subject of their interest.
