Course Curriculum Overview
I legit didn't understand anything that we studied. It all seems like a wastage of time, effort, and money. But more than the curriculum, teachers are to be blamed. We had 2 semesters in a year and every semester had 4 internals, 2 practical, 1 exam, 1 viva per subject.
Placement Experience
Even after being one of the best colleges in Delhi University and discounting whatever newspaper says, average student recieved a job of 20k/month. Companies generally look for skilled people and they are hard to find and hence they offer such low packages. I got an offcampus job offer more than 70k because of the skillsetsIdeveloped over my college years in the field of sales. Most of the internships that came in college were offering no stipend.
College Events
Ramjas has one of the worst cultural fests in DU. I was responsible for raising 15L amount of sponsorship for the fest in my 1st year but politics intervened andIhad to cancel all the deals. Apart from that we have multiple society fests with a gathering of 300 students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a Delhi University college, our fees was pretty nominal comparing to my school education and other private universities. I paid close to 10, 000 INR for 1year of education which means 30,000 INR for the whole education.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am unaware of any scholarships on Ramjas College or Delhi University. Although, my education was paid by myself because of such nominal amount. Delhi University gives you enough time to explore and participate in certain competitions to earn some income.
Campus Life
My course had the best gender ratio across the college. Some or the other college clubs use to organize various workshops just for the sake of it. There was some immense diversity across the class of 60 students but there was hardly any discrimination.
Alumni/Alumna
I have been helping my seniors and alumni network to to find relevant jobs and opportunities. I have never seeked or interacted with alumni network or senior students whileIwas in college. I can't seem to write more about this.
Admission
Admission was just on the basis of merit.IChoose statistics becauseIwas studying for actuarial science and people suggested that it would become a deadly combination. Gradually I realised it was the worst decision because there was just theoretical learnings without any relation to practical aspect of study. Because of this illogical scenario,Istarted exploring and found my calling somewhere else.
Faculty
None of them were capable enough to explain data is the most valuable commodity and by studying this subject, we could learn how to monetize this commodity. For teachers, it was simply a unsatisfactory job which had to be completed every day.
