Remarks

College doesn't care about practical knowledge. No placements from product based companies. College should take efforts to bring maximum internship opportunities for students so that they get enough practical education and required skills. This will make them employable. College faculty should conduct IVs as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum was very outdated during the batch 2018-2019. Mumbai university is worst in terms of Course curriculum. There is no meaning of having MATHS IN SYLLABUS. Every subject has 80 marks written exam and 20 Marks practical exam.

Placement Experience

2.5

There was no internship opportunity until 2019. College has moderate placements with only service oriented companies like Tcs and Infosys coming for campus recruitments. College must try to get more product based companies for placements.

College Events

2

College celebrates multiple cultural events like Zeal, hindi divas, marathi divas, annual sports events knows as avahan. Besides all the other national festivals are celebrated as per the common trend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is expensive. However students under specific categories like SC/ST, do get the cast benefits and their fees is extremely low. Students under open category have to very heavy fees. However if their parents annual income is less than 8lacks they can apply for EBC scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

EBC scholarship is a very good scholarship scheme provided by our college. It's an initiative (by Maha DBT) that provide 50% fee reimbursement to the students whose parent's annual income is less then 8 lakhs

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio is balanced, sports events are organized once in a year that's a sad thing. College timing must be reduced to 5 hours rather 9 hours. The college staff needs to be changed as soon as possible. Teachers who can provide practical education relevant to current industry standards and technology are badly needed.

Hostel Facilities

2

No hostel is available. The college includes only playground, seminar hall, auditorium, multiple classrooms and labs for practicals. However there are no hostel so students need to find their accommodation on their own.

Alumni/Alumna

There are some seminars organized wherein some alumini of the college are invited to share their placement experience. These events are sometime helpful as some aluminis share honest opinions regarding their placement experiences.

Admission

The admission process is online. While applying online you need to select the stream of your choice. I had interest in IT so I selected IT Engineering as my stream. There are many other streams available like mechanical engineering, electronics, instrumentation engineering.

Faculty

2

Faculty has no knowledge relevant to the current industry standards. Faculty needs to be replaced as early as possible. Students need faculty who can give them practice exposure to current technologies. The current faculty gives more importance to writing useless assignments.

Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. Sakec have many job/internship opportunities. The college provides different trainings and intership opportunities. Currently, in 2023-24, 42 students have alreday been placed with 25 LPA (highest CTC offered). College have tie-up with many reknowed companies. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. My plan after getting the degree of bachelor of engineering is to go for masters and acknowledge more and more knowledge in engineering filed. And be my level best. I'm also looking forward for opportunities to go abroad for my mtech degree. Future my expectations form college are High. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
