review of my college- BIT Mesra, Ranchi

the academics and social life is very good in this college, and the infrastructure is very good. the campus is very beautiful and green. the only problem here is the administration. they are very lazy and take decisions very late, and for that we suffer a lot.

this college has CBCS pattern, that is choice based course scheme, in which students get to choose the topics of their own, it is actually a better thing than other colleges. the exam structure is the same as followed by all other colleges, it has 2 semesters per year, each of 6 months, and it consists of 2 quizes, 1 midsem, 1 endsem, and other things.

placements are excellent for this college. the average placement is about 10 lakhs, and highest is 40 lakhs pa. the highest placement is for computer science engineering students as usual. in our branch, mechanical engineering, aproximately 75-80% are placed, with an average package for 6-7 lakhs, highest is 18 lakhs.internships are also very nice here.

there are many clubs and societies here which provide a great co-academic environment. they organise many events that are very good and Knowlegible. for your every interest here is a club. now about the fests organised here- there are mainly 3 fests- BITOTSAV - annual fest, VAJRA- annual sports fest, PANTHEON- tech fest.

its somewhat expensive as it is not a fully government college, it is government aided college, so somewhat like private. yeah it is too high as compared to NITs and little higher than IITs. but its ok, everyone can afford it, and those who can not have the option for loan

i have not taken any loan, but you have the option. many banks provide that facility. here in this college, getting scholarship is a difficult task. you have to maintain a very good GPA to avail it. if you have a GPA more than 8 and your family income is less than 3 lakhs per annum, than you have the opportunity to get scholarship

the gender ratio is very low, as in engineering courses, there are very few girls in our batch too, in mechanical engineering, there are 5 girls in a batch of 120 students. campus life is great, there are many fest and activities that we enjoy very much. all the labs and sports facilities are well equipped with the latest equipments and tools.

yes, they are very helpful, they often visit the campus during placements and also offer donations to the different clubs and societies

i gave my entrance test- JEE (Mains) 2019 and got an all india rank in it. then in july 2019 the Counciling process started, in which i was allowed to choose colleges and programs of my choice and then when i selected it, there was 7 rounds and 2 special rounds of counciling, in which i was alloted this collega and program

the faculty is very good. the older teachers are very experienced, the i average age of faculty here, i think is around 38-45. all the professors have Phd degrees and many have done a great work in research feilds. we are trained for everything in what is latest in industries, we are proud that we have a great infrastructure. there are 4 lectures per week for evet subject. in which 1 is for tutorial/ numerical problems
