My College

The washrooms are unexpectedly dirty, should be taken more care of. But the positive part is that we have never faced ragging. The campus truly follows anti-ragging ideologies and it is made sure that all the students follow the rules.

The Course Curriculum is huge and tough to completed within the stipulated time. The balance in the routine has been missing, because on many days it is extremely difficult to cope up with the routine and on certain days there are not much important classes since the morning.

Placements & job opportunities quite good for CSE;IT & ECE students.Nowadays some big companies are coming to hire us. No;our college doesn't provide internship.but they're some domain training in every semester we've to attend.

We have Tech Fests, Cultural Fest, Freshers' Welcome and Teacher's Day celebrated in our college every year. We also have short programs on Woman's Day, Rabindra Jayanti, Republic Day, Independence Day, Saraswati Puja etc.

The fees is comparatively high as compared to many other private colleges, it ranges from 42250;44500 with a hike of Rs 250 every other sem. And we are charged extra fine for delaying the fee submission by a few days, even if we pay it before the beginning of the sem.

Our college guided the girls with Kanyashree Prakalpa, where many if the girls have received their money and a few are yet to receive. There are also a few more scholarship facility for the students whose annual family income is less than 2 lakhs.

We have a cricket ground, an apparent gym, and a basketball court as well. Annual Sports days do take place. There are separate games for both boys and girls and we all are encouraged to participate in them. We also get extra MAR points for participating in such events, which encourages more number of us to participate. No discrimination regarding anything is entertained.

The girls hostel is not that good. Though the rooms were initially good and well maintained. But maintenance is deteriorating day by day and the food quality is also worsening, with lack of proper helping staff. For 2-bedded rooms the rent is 6200/month and for 3-bedded rooms the rent is 5800/month which is supposed to be increased from the next sem.

They are quite friendly and casual with the juniors. No ragging has ever been reported in the campus. We have a separate Anti-Ragging Squad, and the college makes sure that no ragging takes place. Also, the seniors help us and guide us through our syllabus and help us with equipments like ED box, board, etc. when we need them.

After appearing for my class 12th board exams, I appeared for my WBJEE and I got selected in this college for B.Tech in civil engineering through the online counseling process in the first round itself.

Most of the teachers in our department are highly qualified with a PhD degree from a renowned government institution or are still pursuing PhD from some renowned institution. The faculty members are good and try to make the lessons as easily approachable by the students.
