Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur Review

College is good in almost every field. Students who live in local doesn't get bus service aur any local vehicle. Most of the students doesn't attend regular classes and mass bunks are done, but that's not a remark its just to let you know. Various functions are organised but end up with a mess from. Boys hostel like fights, bikers roaring etc, no strict action against them are taken.

B. Tecj in this college has mediocre scope, companies are good but most of them are or say all of them are mass recruiter, around 70% of the students of Cse/it/ece gets placed. Placement is less in EE/CE/ME. We give 4 internals every semester which sums up average marks under 25, 5 marks is on attendance and rest 70 are taken from semester Exams. If you arw regular you will get marks here. Attendance is important here, and is not neglected.

Every festival is celebrated in college, national festivals along with religious festivals and we have annual cultural fest and tech fest that includes various events to participate. Its fun to be here in those environment.

In weat bengal almost all private college have identical fees, so for me it is mediocre kind, not too high not to low. Most of the studenta prefer college without hostel because in local area it is easy to find cheap mess. But hostel food is really good at the price.

I don't have applied for any scholarship but many of my friends have applied, yes our college has supportive role in scholarship side. I never saw any problems regarding scholarships, everything goes smooth in this matter.

Laboratory are really good and maintenence is done regularly, staffs are good and helpfull, sports day is celebrated, many players have joined state level teams in various sports. College is recongnised in karate and has champions almost in every field. Various competition like robotics hacking etc are joined by our students and college supports them too.

Hostel is very good here, especially for first year. Rest all years have together a hall of residence, Except some minor ragging nothing great issue is there until you create it. Food is good and affordable. And varieties is available everyday.

Most of the seniors are helpfull when needed and they support us in whatever field we need them. But ragging here is also a broblem, sometimes it goes bit far and college is helpless then. But to be true never anything serious has happend, no physical damage at all.

WBJEE exam is needed to be given, and on the counselling phase you have to choose preffered branch in this college, then a computerised algorithm sorts studens according to there ranks and you will get the college of your level.

Faculty is nice and most of them are well educated, but sometimes you have to adjust with bengali language a little. They are regular always and we never had any complains for any faculty ever since.
