NITK college life

NITK has a beautiful campus. NITK is the only college in India that has its own Beach. NITK has mainly two seasons one is the rainy season that is from July to October and another one is summer from October to May.

Course Curriculum depending on college its may be changed according to college. In NITK every semester duration period is 4 months. The odd semester from mid-July to November end. And even semester from last week of December to last week of April. In every semester we have 2 quizzes, mid-semester and End semester. And some courses may be included lab or minors projects. It all depends on the course.

NITK has a very good placement as well as an internship. In NITK every year around 250 companies are visiting. Top Companies likes Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Lowe's India, Qualcomm, Gail, HPCL, coil India, Bajaj, Tata motors,.and so on. In NITk every type of company is visiting it's included Software, IT industry, Analytics, Management, Core Company, etc. Last year NITK had very good placement statistics around 94% of students got placed and average packages CTC 7.5Lac/year.

There are mainly two fests. First, is a technical fest called Engineer. Engineer fest including many events. Some of the best that I like are Robo war, Workshops, Tech Night, Drone events, and some gaming events. The second fest is called INCIDENT. It is mainly a culture fest that includes DJ night, EDM, Dance event, kite fest on the beach, Beach Event.

All NITS have the same Tuition Fee. It's 1.25 lac for one year. This is only a Tuition Fee. But there is relaxation by the government of some have a family income below 1 lac then he has fee concession, and those who have family income 1to 5 lac for that only 1/3 of Tuition Fee have to pay and those who have family income more than 5 lac for that full Tuition Fee have to pay. Other than there is a hostel fee and mess fee. In NITK mess fee is 25,500/- per semester.

NITK Campus has two bank SBI and Canara Bank. Both banks are providing Education loans. From the college bank, we can get easily an education loan. NITK provides Merit come means scholarships for the top 50 students. During the first-year years amount of scholarship is Rs. 16,000/- and from the second year to final year that is 24,000/-.

NITK has a very less gender ratio it's around 15:100. There are so many extracurricular activities such as NCC, NSS, clubs, workshops, labs, and so on. Near to NITK, there are many hostels and a famous bar is Red Rock. In NITK there is not political.

NITK has a Very good hostel facility. For first-year, there is sharing room of 3 students per room. For the second year 2 students per room. And in the 3rd and final year, everyone gets a single room. In NITK mostly students are staying in hostels. If someone wants to stay In PG's then he can stay he will get a room near NITK.

I have very good experience with my seniors. If I have any problems that may be study-related or maybe any other always share them with my seniors. They always give me good responses. For the last three years, NITK start a Karavali Marathon that is mainly started by Alumni of NITK. They are always ready to help us.

I got admission through JEE mains. Admission in NITs is through JEE mains only for Indian students and for out of the country there is another exam called DASA. For good NITS and for core branch it's required to get at least 150 out of 360 in JEE mains. There is no interview only a written exam(JEE Main).

Like a coin has two sides similar in my College mostly teachers are best but some are not good. Along with the teaching faculty, there is the non-teaching staff that helps us in labs/workshops and similar works. All faculty have very good degrees and have good experience of teaching.
