Everything is good in jolu(our college Nick name). our college teaches us how to deal with the entire world. From here we realize that only study is not everything , from any situation we have to survive. The best decision I made ever is taking admission in jolu.
Course Curriculum Overview
In my college electronics and communication engineering department has very talented and laborious teacher. Here research and development is not so good. Examination types are semester. In first year there are less subject then rest of years.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in some season and not good are in some season. but this year placements are very good. 300 students out off 360 student of final year are get job in MNC. Our college also provide internships.
College Events
Jalpaiguri government engineering college organized the biggest technical and cultural fest of of North Bengal. Technical fest known as "SRISTI" and cultural fest known as "JECLAT". There are many events to show your idea, innovation, talent.
Fee Structure And Facilities
In our college mess charge is 2000 per month. It includes room and electric charge. Academic fee is less compare to other colleges. For core department tution fee is 500 per month and for non core department it is 1000 per month.

There are many opportunities for talent. Our college provide good amount of scholarship. Our college alumni provide a good funding for scholarship. Scholarship also given from college. College faculty help students to getting education loan.
Campus Life
Jalpaiguri government engineering college is not only bring talent in academic study also in extracurricular activities. In our college sixteen club is present for extracurricular activities including sports. Our college music band calliphorny. Coders club is best club of college
Hostel Facilities
Yes , our college has hostel facilities. There are five hostel in total. Four hostel for boys and one hostel for girls. Hostel rooms are good in hostel no 4 and 2 but not good in hostel no 1 and 3. In every hostel seats are nearly 220.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors and alumni are very helpful. They also help us in a good way. Scholarship fund is provided by alumni. Seniors help us to find the correct path. They help us in everything. Alumni who are in now big MNC like Google, Amazon,Apple, Microsoft gives us tips how to prepare.
Admission
Through West Bengal joint entrance examination. I got 7226 rank in wbjee and get opportunity to take admission in jgec and I chose electronics and communication engineering department. Here admission is granted according to the wbjee rank.
Faculty
In jalpaiguri government engineering college i. e in my college faculty are very good in every department. They teaches us with very care. Some of them are highly qualified in their relatable subject field.
