Postive remarks The college is very good at its a academics and research activities. The placement is also of 1st tier College level. The seniors are very supportive. Negative response The hostel washrooms are soo dirty. Cleanliness of hostels is a matter of concern.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Structure is almost Good. Research is best here of all NITs. The course curriculum is same as of other engineering colleges in India. It contains 8 semesters over a span of 4 years with 2 semesters per year.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell , which takes care about the placements of students.The UG placement percent is almost 90% , PG is 80-85%. The avg. Salary per annum for b.tech students of all branches is 7.1 lakhs, for PG students , it is 6 lakhs per annum.
College Events
The college hosts two big fests per year , one is technical fest named Engineer and other Cultural fest named Incident.Other than these, there are many small scale fests going on throughout the year like film festival, bizfest , management fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a government college , the fee structure is less. For b.tech students , the annual fees is 2.06lakhs per year including mess and hostel. But the College gives so many scholarships. SC, ST and PWD students just have to pay 35000 per semesters. U can also get soo many scholarships depending upon your family income and merit.
Fees and Financial Aid
The government gives a lot of scholarships. All SC, ST, PWD students and those students whose annual family income is less than 1lakh get a concession of 62500 per semester. Also general and OBC students whose annual family income is between 1-5 lakhs get a concession of 21000 per semester.
Campus Life
The gender ratio for boys : girls is 4:1. The college also have a strong Students council committee. We have 26 clubs and committees like dance club , music club , film club. Some really active technical clubs like IEEE, ACM , Flying and Robotics Club, Coding club and lot more.Sports facilities is also of world class level.
Hostel Facilities
The college is Fully residential. The students have to share their rooms like this- 1st year- tripple sharing room- 6000 per semester 2nd year - double/single sharing- 5000/6000 per sem 3rd year- single occupancy-.6000 per sem 4th year- single occupancy-6000 per year The hostels are not excellent but good.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors here are very very helpful. Any junior can can take their help at any time of the day or night , they say these themselves. The seniors are very hardworking , motivational, encouraging. Also the campus is 100% ragging free.
Admission
For this college , which comes under MHRD , we have to clear JEE mains exams. Then you have to apply for Jossa councelling. There u have to fill the choices in which college you want to go. After shortlisting , you were asssign a college based on your rank.
Faculty
Almost 90% of the faculty are PhD Holder here. Not all but 30-40% faculties are good and feasible. 10% are excellent. But almost all the facilities are very supportive here if the student want se extras knowledge.
