My College

The college was wonderful but it lacks many management issues, the non teaching staffs with very rude and generally didn't use to help students.

In my course of study the examination process was yearly and the course was comprises of 3 paper of physics and one paper of maths and one paper of chemistry and also an addon paper of English and Hindi,this followed for 2 years but for the last year the course was comprises of 4 paper of physics and single paper of environmental science. In My sense of view the course was hard and it took very hard preparation to pass the exam. But since this year University has changed the duration of course from yearly to half yearly and the syllabus has been reduced. Every year many student get selected from the campus and hired by best companies such as Tata TCS,Wipro and many more. Every year only chemistry and geography department used to organise industrial visits for the students.

Company such as Tata TCS, Wipro many more visit campus every year and almost 80 to 100 students (which comprises of 10% of the whole student from all the departments of science)gets placement under the campus quota. No special steps where taken to prepare students for the placement only the academic curriculum was the average line for the placement. I don't took any placement.

The list of events and celebration is very long for Karim City College which includes many cultural program and technical festivals few of them RUJHAN and BITS. The cultural department which was generally responsible for all the programs was under mass communication department but all the students are allowed to take and participate in all the cultural and technical festivals.

Each course under the department of science had different fee structure which may very from rupees 8000 to 55000 yearly which only comprises of annual fee admission fee and laboratory charges, where as additional fees for examination and form fillup with charged each year,but the college provide transparency in the fee breakdown and also construction to many scheduled caste and scheduled Tribes students and also for student belonging to minorities class of India.

For the first two years I received the scholarship from the Government of Jharkhand which comprises of 70% of the fee paid by me, and the scholarship was granted to me but department of minority office and the welfare department of Jharkhand. Only the student of few courses Such as mass communication BSc IT can apply for education loan.

Gender ratio was approximately 1:3 where 1 indicate male and 3 indicate female. That diversity of the college was extraordinary because it comprises of student from all the religion as well as students from various Tribes and caste of Jharkhand and many students from the states of Bihar,West Bengal,Orissa Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh where are also present.

No, I don't opted for hostel and Karim City College Jamshedpur didn't have any hostel facility for students, it is a a local college and student generally comes from chakradharpur Jamshedpur and the regional area of East singhbhum.

Generally senior students and elimination of the college had no contact with the college in the area of study but had contact only in the area of cultural and educational seminars.

In my locality Karim City College is one of the best college And I didn't thought I would get the Admission Because My name didn't appear on the first two list. Physics department of the college is one of the best in all over East and West singhbhum and it was the only college which can facilitate me through the future studies so I chose Karim City.

Each department in science had 4 to 6 faculties, the most qualified faculty held position of of the head of department and Dr. Zafir was the head of Department of physics in Karim City College, Jamshedpur and almost all the faculty had Doctoral degree and almost all of them were above 50 years of age and I don't know whether they had any industry-experience.
