Remarks
During exams there should more alligned or structured seating arrangement needs to done for parents who accompany their childrens. There should be an inhouse canteen/cafeteria placed which is not there now.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was above average, the content was good and interactive but there was lesser number of examples quoted in few subjects. In economics the number of case studies were good. I believe marketing subjects could have been more based on real time case studies.
Placement Experience
There was no placement assistance directly given by the college. However we have an alumnus portal created by the college where the college and ex - students and current students shares job requirements they have come through. Even few faculties are kind enough to be a part of the alumnus portal and posts jobs as and when they have any.
College Events
There was only one alumnus meet and few cultural days celebrated. We used to celebrate all the festivals in the college and there were group performances on the field of dance, drama and rangoli. There was debate competition as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is expensive comparatively other colleges who offered distance courses. Annual fee was 1 lakh which can be paid in 4 equal instalments of 25k each. Whereas colleges like narsee monjee and sikkim manipal charges much less.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not know if there is any loan available for distance learning course. Most of these scholarships are available for full time courses. There may be personal loan which can be availed for bearing the expenses which is also not sure. Since the fee was divided into 4 equal instalments of 25000 each it was quite affordable to arrange for every students.
Campus Life
Labs were equipped with latest computers and software. Ratio to per student was also good, there was one computer for each student during lab work in the batch. The teachers were not biased infact very supportive. We had a social group made in every match for each subject which was recommended by the faculty itself. In that group students used to share their insights related to the subjects, shared doubts and tried to do help.
Hostel Facilities
For part time and distance learning courses there was no hostel available. The hostels were available only for full time courses only. The hostel condition was really good and we could see them because our cdl campus is in the same premises where boys hostel is situated. The building looks really new and is made fancy. The hostel block was really clean.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, alumni portal was helpful in sharing and taking experiences from ex students like anything related to curriculum, exam patterns and books which can be refered apart from course books during exams. Also how to prepare for case studies and practise them.
Admission
There was an interview for students who has scored more than 60 percent in graduation. For students who could not score 60 percent during their graduation has to go through an entrance exam. The entrance exam pattern is multiple choice pattern and consists of general knowledge, aptitude and english questions.
Faculty
There were faculties who were good and then there were few strict and not so talkative ones. The administrative head was very humble and ready to help. There were few faculties who were not so approachable but I believe this is the case every college.
