Good college

College is quite good and you get to learn a lot of things here, and these three years are going to be the best three years of your life. But if you are interested in landing a job after your graduation the this college will disssapoint you.

Here semester system is followed with 3 courses on mathematics and one elective course of your choice. You got to learn programming languages like c++, latex and mathematics. After graduating from DU you can easily make into IIT through JAM. And if you wish to get a job campus placement are also provided to interested candidates. But usually the packages is very low at around 25k p.m.

As far as placement is concerned interested students can get placements in companies like kpmg. But a very people used to get the placement and also the packages low. As this course is mostly research/higher education oriented no special steps are taken by the Institute for placement. For intership you will chances of internship related to studies only like I had attended MTTS. These internship/ workshop have no impact on getting any placement.

There are lot of fest used to happen in the college with one departmental fest called "Ganitam".Apart from them each department has their departmental fest which you can enjoy/ participate. Then there is a cultural fest of the collegee. Since our college has an evening college also so we used to get two cultural fest each year. The summer semester goes with a lot of fest in college and there are around 60-70 colleges in DU so you get a chance of fest for almost every day for around two months. Famous Bollywood stars used to perform in these fest. Even Shahrukh khan once visited to his alma matter Hansraj College.

The fee structure is very feasible at around ?6000 per semester. (at my time) Fees should be online through paytm. As this is a central university there is no hidden fees and free- breakdown is crystal clear. If you are economically weaker then there is aprovision for fee waiver also.

I have been given a scholarship for being a topper of my course for 4 consecutive semester. Anyone who tops a semester get a certificate and ? 3000. Apart from that if you are economically weaker then there is aprovision for fee waiver also.

Campus life is full of fun.These three years are going to be the best three years of your life. Gender ratio in college is 70:30(B:G).But in university it's 1:1.7 (B:G). In odd semester there are freshers party but in even semester whole semester there are fest and fest only. There are various in college and you can join any of the club according to your interest. People from whole India get enrolled in this course and all of them leave with great peace and friendship. There are some competition are always going on either in college or other collegeeges of the university in which you are free to contest. Sports facilities are not good in this college. All the labs are well equipped with basic equpments and software.

Seniors are quite helpful and they provide you with notes and basic tips for your college life. Alumni network is not so good here and we never got a chance to interact with anyone of them

I chose the course as i'm interested in mathematics and apart from that university of delhi is one of the premium universities of the country. Here the course structure is quite vast and you got to learn so many things which otherwise you got to learn in postgraduate. Admission procedure:- Apply online on DU website and then wait for the college wise cutoff to release and then visit the college of your preference and fulfilled percentage of marks. You can wait for further cutoff as most of the college usually releases 5-6 round of cutoff. But if you are from general category try to get admission in first two round itself.

All the faculty members are well qualified atleast holding a doctrate degree in respective fields. Usually in a day we have 3-4 lectures.In our course we are around 100 students and around 10-12 faculties are there. Most of the faculty are young and energetic and few of the experienced one. All the faculty are expert of the area and very helpful to students. you got to learn a few programming languages like c++, latex and mathematics/matlab which has some applications in computer science.
