My Graduation College Experience

Everything is good. I can give 6/10 rating to our college. As I describe about practical knowledge which very very important in today's IT field. Students require practical knowledge more than theoretical knowledge. College management is more of political and business minded. They concentrate less no youth and more on profit.

Learning in our college is not that good because our university still believe in theoretical instead of practical knowledge ro the students. We were reading the same 15-20 years old syllabus but not the updated one. To be honest I learnt myself about technology to prepare myself for campus placements. One thing I liked that most was our Industrial visit to Infosys mysore campus.

TCS is most rated company in our campus. Few more companies also visited our campus are teksystem,bell,V-technology, gigsky,byjus,Inube and few more. Campus recruitment having few rounds to filter the students like, 1st- Aptitude test, 2nd- GD round, 3rd- Technical round and last- HR interview. 90% students get placed every year. Our college use to conduct seminars, aptitude test, workshop to prepare us for campus recruitment.

Every department in our college conduct Department fest for students to participate in technical and non technical events. Apart from that every year our college celebrates DAVANA festival in which 60 students from each department can participate in various events. More 10k people would gather on 3days of davana festival.

As per my knowledge fee structure is expensive because they take lakhs of donation for management seat. They accept only DD for fee, they take donation, for my course they took 1.5 lakh rupees for donations to secure my admission. No transperancy in the fee-breakdown.

As per minority scholarship fund, I used to get scholarship for my graduation. I have applied for minority scholarship through minority scholarship portal. One should have min 50% to avail the scholarship. 5000/- per year.

Gender ratio is 3:2 (male:female), campus life was good, we were having cultural event as well to keep students participate in it. Gender ethnicity is very strictly followed by college. Their is no racism or religious partiality in the campus. Ragging is strictly not allowed in the campus. Sexual harrasment in offensive and campus have very strict punishment for it. Our college is listed under top 50 college in Karnataka.

No, Hostel are very bad at our campus. Thy are not yet hygiene, no proper facilities and they charge more as well. I don't have experience of hostel and hostel rooms but I heard about hostel from my friends. Even food is disgusting.

In our department they collect alumni data but never conduct alumni meetup and that's the reason we never interacted with them. We personally use to call them or text them to get knowledge about recruitment and IT industry knowledge. But even that is not sufficient because most of the time even they were be busy in their on work.

I have written CET entrance exam but I was not eligible for seat because I belongs to Rajasthan state. I applied for management seat for which I have to pay donation to the college. First I thought to take computer science course but donation for that course were very high, I talked with one of my relative and he guided me that computer science and Information Science both the course are similar and information Science course donation was lesser. I applied on 15 july 2015 and got seat on 21 july 2015.

Our faculty were very knowledgeable and very kind. Many of our department faculty were having experience of 15-20 years, few were having 5-10 years and few young faculties. All were very supportive and encouraging. Few of faculty were having industry experience also and they have did very good certification in many technologies. We were having 30 faculties in our department with the average age of 35.
