Remarks
This college is very good especially for CS/ IS or EC branch students as there are so many companies visiting to hire during campus placements. The mechanical placements are quite poor. So Choose your branch appropriately and join.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well planned at times especially in the even semester's we get some holiday's. But the Even semester's are quite badly framed and they give us very little holidays. The labs & exams are conducted appropriately.
Placement Experience
There are plenty of companies visiting for the CS / IS and EC branches. The placement for mechanical is very poor m hardly 20% of the students are placed. Whereas in the CS/IS and EC 80 to 70% of the students are placed.
College Events
Not much entertainment events in the college. There's only one fest called Maaya fest. There are quite a few workshops which are really good. TEDx events also happen regularly. Technical project Mela happens, where final year students show case their projects.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure on merit basis roughly comes up to 65 - 80, 000 per year. The management fees is quite moderate it's about 3 lakhs or 5 lakhs per year depending on the branch opted. Overall it's quite expensive to study here compared to other colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there are quite a few scholarship's given to economically backed students. These students are exempted from paying full fees, instead every semester they are given a certain amount as scholarship.
Campus Life
Not much of extra curricular activities in the college. The sports activities are not much promoted in this college. But they do have a very good cricket ground, an amazing basket ball court. The labs are well maintained.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities aren't that great and it's very expensive. The hostel fees per year is roughly 1 lakhs. Many students studying here opt for PG's so most of the hostel blocks are vacant and quite empty. No single room hostels are available here. It's only shared rooms either 2,3 or 4 students together.
Alumni/Alumna
They have a huge network of alumni students. They do keep meeting regularly and discuss a lot about the development's which further needs to be done with the college. The experience with college seniors is quite fascinating as they are very open minded and they exchange a lot of ideas.
Admission
The admission process is quite simple. It's either done through the state entrance exams ( CET ) or through PESSAT exam or through management seat. I felt the PES University would help me gain more knowledge,so I opted for it.
Faculty
The faculties here are decent. The science and humanities ( the first year lectures) they are very good. Whereas the other departments only a few of them are really good. Rest all teachers are quite moderate type.
