Remarks
Infrastructure is quite good. Classes are held in proper centralised AC classrooms while the college is right in the city centre. The only negative remark is that students do not get much support from the Dean Student Welfare for any events or activities and there is too much interference from Institute Security Cell.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure in Chemical Engineering is updated every 3 years in accordance with the industry. Our department is very good for research as new equipments have been procured along with newly constructed labs. 1 mid semester exam and 1 end semester exam is conducted each semester along with a quiz before each exam. Exams are not chilled, you need to study if you want good grades. Labs are of 3 hours each, but it is worth for the learning in each experiment.
Placement Experience
Placements are comparatively good, every year normally 70% of the students get placed in Chemical Engineering. For Computer Science it is 95-100%, for Electronics & Communication it is 85-90%, for Mechanical & Electrical it is 70-75%, for Metallurgy it is 60-65%, for Civil it is 55%

Admission
Appeared in JEE Mains 2017 and secured a rank of 2495 AIR. Out of many options I wanted to pursue either Chemical or Mechanical Engineering as both have good scope in industry. But went for Chemical as it has less competition compared to Mechanical. After the JEE Mains result, we were given a 3 day slot for choice filling which we had to fill by decreasing order of our preferences for college and Branch. After locking the choices, results of round 1 of seat allotment come. If any college is allotted then we need to go for Document Verification in any nearby reporting centre. After verification of documents, we choose whether to freeze, slide or float the allotted seat. Freeze means to lock the college and branch you are allotted. Slide means to lock the college but upgrade to a different branch. Slide happens only if the new branch is above the allotted branch in the choice filling list and if seats are available. Float means to upgrade to different college in accordance to availability of seats in the choices above the one allotted in your preference list. I choose float option. In same way, results of round 2, round 3, and upto round 7 allotment list came. The one obtained in round 7 is the college and branch you will be studying. You then need to report to your college, where you need to verify your documents, then pay the institute fees in the academic section (online, no cash or DD will be accepted), collect your provisional allotment letter and finally collect info of your 1st year section. If you live in Jaipur, then you will not get hostel. Other students are asked whether they want hostel or not. Those who want hostel, they need to go to Hostel Office, pay the hostel fee there (online and DD both are accepted, no cash), then take the possession of the hostel room.
Faculty
There are good faculties as well as terrible ones. In my department, only 2-3 faculties are terrible rest are good. Most of the teachers are PhD degree holders from IITs, well experienced. Some professors like Kailash Sir, Manish Sir, Sushant Sir, Vyas Sir and Saharan Sir make students fall in love with their teaching.
