Course curriculum is standard as in most engineering colleges, nothing exceptional. It is a bit outdated according to industry needs and you need to work your self to gain industry relevant skills. Mostly placement happens in IT sectors which has nothing to do with coursework except for CS and MNC branches.

Really good placements with 13LPA average package. Top companies visit the campus including Google, Facebook, Citi etc. College has a dedicated training and placement cell for coordinating placement activities.

A tech fest, a cultural fest, a sports fest, a tedx event. These includes participants from various colleges and with pro nites inviting guests like Salim Suleman, Ritviz, Divine, Local Train etc. The events are at very large scale with a lot of corporate money pouring in.

Very reasonable and it includes government subsidy. Absolute transparency in fee structure. You can easily get education loan at discounted interest rates. Also vast opportunities for scholarships.the fee mostly constitutes of tution fees. Its has a component of Rs 12000 for mess fees.

I secured scholar loan from SBI, it was an easy process as the institute is a tier 1. In campus SBI branch specifically for college students.

M:F ratio is 9:1, really good opportunities for extra curricular, it will be a majority part of your college life. Hostel parties are a common scenario which includes alcohol and marijuana. Campus is very open for relationships, you can easily spot couples roaming around. Diverse crowd from different states and economic background ranging from farming to international businessmen. College has all sports facilities and participates in a lot of inter college sports events like inter IIT meets.

Yes, staying at hostel is compulsory. You a cannot opt for outside accommodation. The hostel facility is decent enough and the mess food is way better than you expect. Hostels are at walking distance from lecture halls.

Really great and supportive alumini network wit prominent names like Nikesh Arora, Manoj Sinha. They will try to help you as much as they can at every step. Its like a family of IIT BHU.

Admission take place through JEE Advance. Initally you have to appear for JEE Mains and if you are qualified, you are allowed to appear for JEE Advance. You need a rank below 6000 to get into IIT BHU Engineering Physics. The exam is tough and includes logical questions from physics, chemistry and maths.

Good faculty but not really motivated to teach students. Some are exceptionally good. But so are the students not that interested to study. Mostly into doing stuff by themselves and trying to find their passion to pursue as their career. But the professors are involved alot in research activities.
