BBIT Review

One thing which irritates me about the college is that. You cannot enter the college after 9:50 and cannot leave before 4:20pm. Earlier it was 5:00 pm. Now they reduced it to 4:20 pm. still they should remove all this restrictions.

The course is a 4 year course. Each year has two semester (odd and even ) which makes a total of 8 semesters. My institute is affiliated to MAKAUT. And so we have exam for each semester every 6 months. Odd semester exams are conducted during December and even semester exams are conducted during May.

There is a placement cell in our college which helps students to get placed. Placements happens when you reach your final year of the course you are enrolled in. Internships are not provided. Rarely I have seen students getting internship from college.

There are lots of events which happens annually. Technical & Cultural fest. Every year it happens, last year in Feb 2019 they invited the bollywood singer Badshah. Technical events, Teachers day, Children’s day, Freshers, Sports, Etc happens

Its Expensive comparable to other colleges. One may find a slight reduction in your course fee if you have get scholarship. But you can have those scholarship even if you go to some other college. Its expensive all I can say.

The Central Government as well as the State Government scholarships is the only scholarship one can avail. The institute has no scholarship of its own. Taking about loans then yes there are few finance companies there which can provide you loans. But I would suggest to opt for the state govt loan scheme as the interest rates are very low.

Extracurricular activities are not given much importance which I think should be given more importance. Labs are very advanced with all new equipment, and all the materials are there which one requires for the course. Boys are more than girls. Students from all caste, religions, creed study here without facing any discrimination. Even there is a structure at the campus having Mosque, church, temple & gurudwara.

Hotel rates are quite affordable. Its same as any other hostel in the area. The rooms are neat and tidy. Sharing and Private rooms are also available. Wardens are there. Boys and Girls hostel are separate and they are at a little distant to each other. 30,000 INR per semester is the hostel rate average with food also.

Seniors are very helpful. I was very lucky to have very good seniors. Alumni network isnt reachable. But seniors are very friendly. There isnt any ragging which goes on in the campus. Everybody is calm and all mostly focuses on studies.

In order to get Admission one needs to secure a good rank in the Entrance Examination. Entrance exams for my college are IIT-JEE mains and WBJEE. These are joint entrance exam. I secured a good rank in WBJEE and went directly to the institute and took admission after they interviewed me. But you need to have a merit rank. Thats compulsory.

The faculty are highly qualified. They have earned their degrees from the most reputed colleges of the state. They are in fact very friendly and will guide you properly. Some faculty members also have experience of how the industry functions. So it is great.
