Remarks
The college gets more positive reviews than negative reviews. The campus, faculty members, environment gets on the positive side. The location and canteen food goes on the negative side.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is quite a simple one. We have got six main exams, i.e. semesters, in a period of three years with half year gaps. The exams are also not that hectic if considered. Except one, i.e. Acoountancy, all the other subjects have got objective type papers in the exams, i.e. MCQ type.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities are well provided in the college. Providing a detailed information regarding this portion is not possible for me as I am a first year student. So never got into touch with those people.
College Events
The college hosts some good events and programmes like the Freshers event for the new comers, a Farewell programme for the last year batch students and the main event, the college fest, Ripples which invites a large participation and some celebrities too for the guest performance. The college even holds some blood donation camps and other social festivals.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible and simple. The college fee is Rs 33000 per year for every year in the course of Bachelor's in commerce honors. The college even provides scholarships for well scorers in boards, mainly for students scoring above 80%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarships of 33% or 50% off on the tution fees of all the three years depending on the marks scored by the student in their respective board exams. No such loan facility is available for students or atleast known to everyone.
Campus Life
Not so many options available if sports is considered. Mainly Basketball, Cricket, Table Tennis and Carrom is provided for the students. The gender ratio taking part in the sports is pretty concentrated in the favor of males. Other extra curricular activities are well provided like dancing and street acts. This has pretty fair sex ratio.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors in the college are very engaging and friendly. They are very helpful and good to interact with. They help the juniors in every aspect possible, whether it be dance performances, sports, academics, or any other helps if asked for hosting programmes or something else.
Admission
The course which I opted for, i.e. Bcom(hons), is a very easy and versatile course which opens me up for a lot professional courses and fields. The admission part was pretty simple through which I went. I was mainly taken in on the basis of my boards result which got me a discount of 33%.
Faculty
The teachers present in the college seems to be highly qualified faculty members except a few. The professors look very interested in how the students perform and learn. They are very particular regarding students attending the classes even. Most of them are very student friendly and possess some of the very unique methodology to tackle students.
