Remarks

Its a government college and so, by the end of 4 years placement happens but the most of the teaching staff are worthless and a lot of encouraging things must be involved for the students to be motivated in the competitive world.

Entrance Preview

I gave the WBJEE exam in 2013 and score 40% marks i secured general rank 2898 and got admission in this govt college i wasn't able to get in javadpur and shibpur. So, i took here as it is the 3rd ranked college and it is government also. I like CSE and had learnt programming languages in class 10 and 12 so, i took COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum is ok. As it is affiliated to MAKAUT (formerly WBUT), the syllabus is same as that of all other private colleges in the state.

Internships Opportunities

Well there is no such thing and no internship is being provided to students studying here. Actually we are supposed to do a training in BSNL but its not an internship and no such thing is there in our college.

Placement Experience

2

Companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Ericsson, etc came with package between 3.2 to 3.8 lakhs. The placement of CSE, IT AND ECE Is good and 80% of the students get placed but the rest of departments have a really tuff task. However, sometimes TCS takes 60% or more students of the core branches as well.

College Events

1

Well, there is technical fest only for 1 day the cultural fest is also for 1 day but yes, u may enjoy there. Candidates participate there at their will. Renowed artists from fossil band, falak sabbir, somlata came to perform here. U can definitely enjoy in the cultural fest but ths technical fest is not good enough.

Fees and Financial Aid

Foundation for excellence scholarshipnational govt. portal scholarship both to be filled in first year.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio 10:1 ( in favour of male) there is no scope for any extra curricular activity in the college and i am not joking. Everything else is unbiased not depending on any criteria. U need to belong to any average family to sustain economic needs the college is too cheap. (6000 per sem).

Hostel Facilities

2

The first year hostel is very good as here everyone coming from different places come and introduce themselves. It is a great learning experience to be in harmomy with each other. However, the facilities are not good and food is just uneatable the facilities of other senior hostels is good.

Alumni/Alumna

The network isn't good i mean its totally bad the alumni is not interested in any thing however the seniors are decent. There are also seniors who will always poke u and there are also helpful ones always ready to help.

Faculty

2

The faculty of ME and EE is good. But considering of CSE, IT and ECE, they are average. However, we do have some exceptionally genius teachers who are quite helpful.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
