Review about my college

No bad remarks, but yeah, good remarks can always be given regarding our college. The college management is very good, none of the college staff takes bribe or no such discriminations are made among the students by the management.

No, I didn't get to know about such industrial visits organized for the students here, but some visits were made by some of the best institutions (including M. Sc., MBA, etc. ) for higher studies. There were some conferences held regarding these. And to talk about the exams held in our college, yes there were two sessional exams held per semester, i.e., per six months of a year. There were two semesters per year, which means, there were a total of six semesters in our three year degree course (TDC). And the final exam per semester were held in the end of the semester, that is, in the months of May-June and November-December, two semester exams in one year. The final exams were held in our own college only. And there were practical exams too in certain subjects or papers.

No, there's no such placement provided from our college. There was no such courses so as to provide info on internships.

Almost, all types of cultural programs, a few festivals, annual college week are held in our college every year. The college week is held in the time between January and February, most probably. All kinds of sports and games are held in this week, singing competitions, dancing competitions, fashion shows, body building competitions etc. are held in a very nice, disciplined and joyful manner. Then, Saraswati Puja, Viswakarma Puja, Independence day, Republic Day are also held in a disciplined manner.

The fee structure is not so feasible or not very expensive too. As this college is a semi-government, so the fee structure is in the mid range. And by the way, the students who are below poverty line or BPL, they are refunded a certain amount of the admission fees, they just require to provide the documents proving that they fall in the BPL range.

I was not provided the scholarship due to my caste or category. As I am a student from general category, so I couldn't apply for the scholarship though I needed it very much.

The campus life was good for me. I got to meet different kinds of people with different mentalities. We built a good friendship no matter how rich or how poor family a boy or a girl belong to. We made our friendship almost like a family. There were no such robotics activities held. But, yeah some of the times, debates were held for fun.

No, there is a hostel facility for both boys and girls, separately. But, in the year when I took admission the boys' hostel was closed for a certain reason. So, we couldn't opt for the hostel and stayed in a paying guest near by the college only.

The senior students were very friendly with us. We heard about ragging in a college, but we didn't get to see it from our senior. This college is very much positive or have a plus point in this case. Ragging is strictly prohibited here and also no student tries to do it.

I was selected in the 1st merit list in the department of Physics (honours) in the year 2015, soon after my higher secondary result. I chose this college as many famous people passed out of this reputed college and I have been hearing the name of the college since my childhood. So, I wanted to be a graduate from this college.

The faculty of this reputed college are also good there, they are very friendly too. Their teaching skill or teaching style is also good, in most of the departments. The notes were also very nicely provided to us, the students by the faculties. As per the routine, in alternative days, some classes are held twice to cover the syllabus as soon as possible. So, we were satisfied with the faculties.
