My Review

The college is a very good one for education and getting placed. We have several advanced career options available. But the college is very strict and conventional and more about devotion. I am happy to be Amritian.

The course curriculum covered all the necessary subjects from DSP, signals and systems, embedded systems. We had a lab session for the required subjects every week and had 2-3 lab subjects per semester. The exams were conducted on a periodical basis and the curriculum was not that hectic.

The placement and job opportunities are number 1. Various companies visit the university and every student has lot of options to choose their career. Almost all students gets placed in renowned companies. We had companies like CISCO, Intel, Amazon, Bosch, TCS, Accenture and banking sector Federal bank etc.

We had Amrita kalotsav, Vidyut tech fest andthe most celebrated AmritaVarsham or Amma's birthday where various celebraties come, perform seek darshan. They are like an annual event and celebrated grandly. We also have several volunteer services and awareness programs.

The fee structure is quite on the upper side and the course and hostel total sum up to around 2-3lakhs per year. But we also have scholarships for students who outperform in entrance exams. It is quite expensive but we are assured the best education and 100% placement to look on the bright side.

I personally haven't applied for any scholarships or loans. But I have heard of my classmates who got scholarships after writing the entrance exams. We are also given dual degree and student exchange programs where students can avail advanced studies.

We have several labs, clubs where one can engage in social activities. The college also conducts several awareness programs, volunteer programs such as cycle rally, blood donation camps. We have students from several states and countries studying as classmates.

Yes, I stayed in hostel during my 4 year Btech course. The hostel is very clean and spacious. The rooms are on a 4 sharing basis. Each one gets a seperate bed with bunkers. We also have a seperate study room. We had regular room inspections and daily attendance has to be reported to the wardens and students are not allowed to wander in the corridor at nights talking on phones.

The alumni network is very strong and most of the placements we get are from alumni connections. Whichever company we go, we already have an Amrita there helping us to ease in the company. There is a very good collaboration with the seniors and juniors.

We have an Amrita entrance exam. After clearing the interview, we had to pass the interview. I chose this college because of its 100% placement assurance and excellent faculty. I chose Electronics and communication field in engineering because of its vast scope and interesting career options.

Most of the facilities in our college are PhD doctorate holders and alumnis of BITS, IIT with immense experience. They were very keen on sharing knowledge. They also conducted special sessions and labs for interested students.
