Suresh K's Review On Nandha Engineering College - [NEC], Erode

Initially I felt very comfortless for joining such a big institution at the end of my engineering studies I learnt the world only because of nandha engineering college.

I have written the TANCET exam and I scored 237 out of 300 i have chosen my subject (EEE) because i know it'll lead to a career it is a very mentally and physically challenging course, and i feel it will help me with my practical and social skills lso it gives me the opportunity for learning the latest technologies in electrical industries.

Actually from the second year on-wards they are mainly focusing with practical oriented classes for electrical machines they explained maximum of concepts with the real life examples only with the help of lab equipment. We had around 23 professors for EEE stream in that 11 are Ph.D holders in Machines, Circuit designs, etc so they brought lab equipment to class rooms and shown the live examples.

Our 7th semester itself we attended around 4 companies like Infosys, CTS, TCS, HCL respectively and all with the minimum package of 3.36 lakhs per year. I have placed in CTS among the 120 students and all we joined to the organization in the same year.

Please find the below list of placed students in the different companies, CTS - 120 - 3.36 lakhs/year, Infosys - 60 - 3.05 lakhs/year, TCS - 120 - 3.36 lakhs/year, HCL - 90 - 3.36 lakhs/year, L&T - 60 - 3 lakhs/year, Accenture - 40 - 3 lakhs/year.

RADIXﾒ09 is a national level technical symposium hosted by the department of electrical & electronics engineering, nandha engineering college it gave platform to explore your creativity and innovations in the field of electrical engineering for a college equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, RADIX ﾖ 2009 presented an exciting avenue for the convergence of intellectual resources from all over the country. With a variety of events ranging from paper presentation to project displays and from quizzes to circuitrix show, RADIXﾒ09 has something for everyone.List of Events, Paper presentation, Project Expo, techno Quiz, Circuitrix, Ad-Zap, Dumb Charade.

College offered me several scholarships, fee waiver schemes, teaching and research assistance to meritorious and deserving students. Large number of students tremendously benefited from such schemes. In 2007 - 2010 nearly 1173 students benefited from various schemes with a total of Rs. 23 lakhs distributed as scholarship.

The below extracurricular activities conducted by the college, Writing and putting on a play, Creating and exhibiting art works, Creating and producing a show, Producing a short film (a variety of subjects are possible), Participating in writing, painting, ceramics and jewellery-making, workshops and exhibiting the resulting creations, Singing in a choir, Supporting various organizations or humanitarian causes throughout the year, Actively participating in a committee to improve the school climate and physical environment, Visiting and participating in activities in retirement homes, Becoming involved in the student radio station or the student council.

Semester fee we paid around 32,500 and hostel fee depends on hostel you choose for Max is single room for 24,000 per year and mess fee was around 2,500 per month. If it's a sharing room means only 12,000 per year and also we have other options for stay, we can stay in individual houses near by college and it cost only 2000 per month for five students.

I had a very good relationship with my senior students which helped me a lot for getting the right job at the right time. While at the time of attending interviews and all they did a very big help me for me to learn the shortcuts to solve the aptitudes and they guided me to attend interviews like a good brother.
