A look at NIT Surat

There are lots of positive as well as negative remarks for the college but as far as positive at considered the college is a very green college and this stays atleast 2 degree cooler than outside. Also since it's a government college everything is cheap here.

Course structure needs to improve as there are still outdated topics taught in the name of need of teaching basics exams are twice a semester but there are lots of tests in between with labs almost everyday making it hectic

Placements are excellent even for internship about 20 companies came including jpmorgan Adobe MasterCard De-shaw offering stipend as high as 1lakh per month and low as 20000 as many startups also offer internship

Sparsh is the cultural fest of our college and it happens for 3 days similarly mindbend is the technical fest and is conducted for same duration and ignes and inter-nit are sports fests. All thouree of them are pretty big fests with lot of nearby colleges participating along with students from our college

Feasible the tuition fee is 62, 500 per semester and the hostel fees is around 55, 000 per year and thus is very low compared to other private colleges which take as high as 200000 per semester and around 1lakh for hostel

I didn't need to avail any loan facility but since it's a tier 2 college in engineering it's pretty easy to get a loan with low interest and with a limited need of security as I had seen in many banks such as SBI

Labs are fairly new with new and updated personal computers in labs. We even have computer labs that can be used any time of day for personal use of students for those who can't afford laptops. There is a need of improvement in sports as ground maintenance is very limited

College seniors as well as alumni are amazing and very helpful. Even when applying for internship all college alumni help us and try to provide us with opportunities for internship as well as job. Seniors help us all the time whether it's about studies or some other issues or emergencies

I applied for jee mains and then went thourough josaa counseling to get admission into this college. I achieved 17000 general rank so couldn't get into computer engineering which was my first choice but got electronics engineering which was my second choice

The faculty is quite qualified and interested in their respective courses and they teach with a good enthusiasm and a will to help their students Excel in the subject. They have done multiple projects and research in the subject
