Remarks

I would say the college would become better if student crowd is a bit more civilized, alert and aware about their future. NSS and NCC are flawless. Every other cultural society is awesome. Teacher s are also fine. College is working on the infrastructure. Hence almost everything is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is quite fine and diverse at the same time. I had electives to choose for 4 semesters out of 6. We had practical classes in physics and chemistry every semester. Semester exams in the college is conducted by DU and happens at all the Du colleges at the same time. The exam copies get checked in different colleges of DU by the teachers of DU itself. The results are declared after 1.5 months of the exams conducted.

Placement Experience

1.5

I was myself in placement cell of my college. But sadly the placement structure is poor because students are not much aware of the same. Internship fair is organized every year in the college where many companies come to offer jobs and internships to students. While in my time most of the students were interested in govt jobs. Giants in the market don't come to this college.

College Events

4

Sabrang is the annual cultural fest of the college that is organized and celebrated in Feb - March every year for 2-3 days. Apart from that there are 18 different subjects in the college, hence departmental fests are organized thouroughout the year. Apart from it NCC, NSS conduct their own fests. The annual fest is the biggest of them. Stars like Shan, Ankit tiwari, badshah had come to our college. Annual day, fresher's party, farewell party are excluded from list. The college life is very happening in DBC.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is cheap. I literally did my bsc In 30000. Apart from this poor children are given scholarships after their background verifications. So I would say the fee structure is quite feasible. Fee is paid semester wise. If you break or damage anything in labs, fine is also collected. Library charges are nominal and also refunded after the college gets over. So it's almost free if you are a sober guy.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are given to students if they are poor only after the background check. The amount is around 5000 per semester. This is decided by calculating the annual income of their families respectively. As I said college fees is very nominal so no loan facilities are there.

Campus Life

3

Our college have many games in it. Starting from kabaddi, gymnastics, weight lifting, archery, cricket it extends to indoor games like chess, carrom etc. Labs are fine. All kind of experiments can be done. Chemistry labs have ventilation problems but now they are breaking those labs and reconstructing them. Extracurricular activities consists of debates, quizzes, marathons, cleanliness drives, NSS activities etc. When it comes to activities and opportunities within the college I think du colleges are the best.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There is sadly no hostel facilities available in this college. Students live in PGs nearby and eat food from mess or the college canteen. Our college is situated in kalkaji so students mostly stay in govindpuri that is nearby and cheaper. Although college administration was thinking of making hostels, but it never worked out into reality. PGs are quite safe as they are situated in crowded areas.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network was helpful in my time. As I mentioned earlier that I was a part of the placement cell of my college, I used to get referrals from the alumni of our college to call companies on campus. Senior students are also co-operative. There is a zero tolerance policy towards ragging, so we had always faced pleasant and helpful Seniors.

Admission

I got admission in the college in the 5th cut off list of DU. I had percentage for the particular course and hence I took my documents ( 10th, 12th marksheets and character certificate) and went to college. I got admission after verification of those certificates. I paid the fees online that day and started going to college from Aug 1 2016.

Faculty

3

We had never faced any shortage of any faculties in my college. We had adequate amount of teachers that too qualified enough. Physics department was the best I would say. I had a nice time in chemistry also because I loved the subject. More over Maths teachers are also helpful but no one was permanent, all of them were temporary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
