Remarks
Students come up with various ideas and clubs but most of them don't get approved. This is a problem because not all students would get to participate then. Public holidays get compensated to Saturdays. This a little unfair.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is amazing. They put in so much detail into the course. They made sure it's according to the present running technology. The exams are a little hard. They are very tricky for ECE students. Whereas for CSE, it's easy. I don't understand why. The labs are very interesting.
Placement Experience
College gurantees that there will be 100% placements for those who cross the placement criteria which is getting above 7.5cgpa minimum. PES is famous for it's placements. It also provides internships break in final semesters for the students to go and explore.
College Events
We have many events happening in our college. There are many clubs which are active. We have our annual cultural fest called MAAYA. There is interdepartment Activity day. Intercollegiate sports day. Interdepartment sports day. Hackathons every semester. Tedxpesuecc. And the club activities. We see a lot of participation in these events. Organizing team makes sure every year they do the best.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I would say expensive but which college has feasible fees? Only if you are going thourough kcet - merit seat, your fees will be less which is 1L/ annum. Where as for PESSAT entrance exams students, the fees is 3L/annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
There in CNR and MRD scholarship provided to students in semester. This is a really good thing provided by the college. It's very fair and reasonable. Top 20% students who scored the highest are offered MRD scholarship.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are good. I wouldn't say the best. We have to go thourough a lot of permissions to do something in college and most of them don't get approved. But college tries the best to keep something going on in college. Sports department does really well. Labs are good. Students stay back after college hours to indulge in lab sessions. We don't see any problems wrt ethical, race and religion in college.
Alumni/Alumna
I am not in touch with alumni myself but I have heard. Alumni of PES are in good positions now. We see quiet a few alumni students coming to college during events and talking about their experience. They are the ones who give us hope that we all can achieve something.
Admission
PESSAT entrance exam. This was their own private entrance exam for the college. We get ranks and accordingly they allot us seats for different branches. I chose ECE because I was always interested in it.
Faculty
ECE faculty are a little intimidating. But they teach very well. I just hope they were a little more chill. The teachers are very qualified. And they have good teaching experience. We have teachers who did PhDs and have very good knowledge on what they teach.
