Remarks
Our college had zero tolerance towards ragging making the campus ragging free. Also the faculty were very helping. They used to give extra time to students in clearing the concepts if someone had difficuly in getting any topic taught in the class.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is governed by MAKAUT which also conducts the exam for the college. There were 2 internal exam of theory papers and final semester of both theory and labs. College timings were a bit hectic if we had 2 consecutive labs in a day.
Placement Experience
Placements in the college was not that great in our time but they took measures to teach us so that we can qualify in off campus placements too. College doesn't provide internships. One can search for the same on their own.
College Events
Basically the college holds 3 fest, a sports fest called krirathon where students participate among themselves and other colleges on various sports both outdoor and indoor. 2nd there is a technical fest called Techtrix were students from other colleges participate too for technical events like robotics, coding, debugging etc. And the last event is a curtural event called Bihan were students from our college and different colleges participate in cultural events like dancing, singing, role plays, skit etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As the college is a semi-government one fees is feasible. In my time the semesters fees were between 35000-40000 and not more than that. It included the college fees, library charges, examination fees and other charges for the benefits given to the student.
Campus Life
College organised various events in the colleges. Also a number of workshops were organised for different fields. Labs were well equiped with instruments. There are common rooms available with different indoor games option available.
Hostel Facilities
Our college don't have hostel facilities. So students basically resided in PGs. There were multiple PGs near the college. Nearest residential areas were metropolitan, vasundhara, cit more, sukanta nagar. One can get single room or sharing room based on one's choice. In our time single share was 4500, double 3500 and triple sharing 3000 per month. Foods were not included in the room rent and one can avail tiffin services provided in the area.
Alumni/Alumna
Our college promote no ragging so there were no raggings in the college. Seniors were very helping. They used to guide us in choosing the books aur lending there own old books. In the time of placements they referred us in there companies they use to work.
Admission
I got admission in the college by clearing West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE). Done the counselling by putting my preference of college with subject i wanted to study and in the second round I got my college. After that admission process were done in the college itself.
Faculty
Faculty of the college are knowledgeable and they teach quiet well. If one attends every lecture they will surely get each and every concept clearly in the class. Some teachers were very helping. They taught students who were weak after classes were over.
