First Day At NIST.

Good, Best Campus, Good Infrastructure, Best Scopes for Extracurricular Activities, Best Teaching, WiFi facilityBad, Food quality at mess, Management is not so student friendly.

I appeared for OJEE (Orissa Joint Entrance Exam) my score was around 19000 in general quota & 600 in SC quota i opted this college as the name suggest its national so what I thought was it would be a great college.

Well I would say the courses offered here is pretty good and surely up to the mark surely no complaints in this i took mechatronis as my optional in 6th semester and I was worried if they could deliver me the right course study but I was shocked the way faculty taught the subject it was awesome.

Yes our college is best for interns it provides a lot of options for internship with wide ranging courses basic stipend what students get as per my knowledge is around 13k in 3 months I did my summer training here and it was a good experience.

Placements,the most discussed topics in any college of India.Well if its about placement then no one can beat our college as I am in final year I went through the whole placement activity this time at NIST around 12 companies have come by now and many are in pipeline 567 the figure says about the jobs NIST has provided well in simple words its "Raining Jobs At NIST".

We in our college celebrate numerous events depending on the occasions tech fest named SANKALP is the most awaited event every year actually its the most biggest event at NIST, around 20 to 30 colleges participate every year in this mega event various event are organised in this event including many fun events vizag Steel, Times of India, etc are top sponsors which comes to the college next coming to the cultural fest WAVES, here all the students of the college itself participate dancing, singing, group dance and various cultural events are organised to entertain the students inter college events are also organised.Including all this NIST organizes DST Inspire Science Camp as well.

Well I won't say the college fees are feasible but for a middle class family its not so expensive but the college charges a lot in the mess dues with an average food quality college Fees: 121500 INR hostel: 17000 INR mess: 2480/month irrespective of you eat or not.

Campus life at NIST is really very adorable as the climate over here is very mild and cool depending on the temperatures so the green campus of NIST is the best place to chill out and hangout with your best buddies the sex ratio of the college is much more than that of any colleges in Odisha, counting to 7 girls out of 10 boys the extracurricular activities at NIST is probably the best. Here we have many options such as different clubs to look forward there are 17 clubs at NIST with differnt motto to prosper extracurricular activities Debates, sports, robotics etc comes under various clubs which handle this extremely well as club eureka handles all the literary events same as we have students activity center(SAC) for sports in the same way for robotics we have specially NRC(Nist Robotics Club) at NIST the management provides a lot of options for such activities which will freshen up the mind of students.

Hostel is one of the best place to stay rather than a PG at hostel we get many opportunities to explore ourselves and others as well the basic need of the students are full filled at hostel itself, including the course related studies or may be social lif

As per my knowledge with who so ever I have interacted in may seniors they had given a vivid knowledge about the college as in how good it is for the students who actually want to study and learn something they have guided in many way some told Do's and Don't of the college some gave warning some told not to worry in a way those experience of their were much needed information and yes indeed they were helpful.

Exams are the most discussed after placements so as per my knowledge exams are the most hectic schedule in the campus but if we are concerned about the exams structure its probably average here at NIST the halls are fully under cctv cameras so that there
