A college with beautiful location, study pattern and environment.

The college management is good, very friendly and cooperative. No one creates problems for students and their life. No interference from the management. Very nice college. The college management rather used to take students on picnics on requests.

For admission in IIHMR, I appeared in MAT exam. I was from science field and the course of hospital management really attracted me as it helped me in staying in my field and keeping my interest area with me. In MAT exam I choose iihmr as my college of interest and I scored 97 percentile in the exam. I got the call letter from the university for GD and PI process. I appear I GD and PI for the course of hospital management and luckily cleared the same for the admission.

The first year of the college curriculum included studies of health as well as hospital management that creates a foundation of the students to k Le about both the fields as both these fields works in unison and have closely related dimes ions of work. The second year had specified subjects of the field you choose either health management or hospital management. In hospital management we had operations, clinical, non clinical and axillary services fields to cover the complete hospital management.

The college offers two internship programs one is provided after first year of course this internship is comprised of 45 days in summers that is in the month of May and June. The internship is facilitated in the organisation of students' choice. The college mediates the process of getting the students getting the internship in the organisation of their choice. No stipend is offered in this internship the second internship which is basically the dissertation is done by the student in the second half of the second year of the studies. This internship is done in the organisation in which the student get placed.

The companies related to the field of health and hospital fields were invites to the college. In the health field, generally NGOs and consultancies came in the college and the health sector companies used to pay higher than the hospital sector companies. The average package offered in health field was 5-6 lpa. Sometimes government of various state also used to absorb students from the campus.In the field of hospital management, various private as well as government owned hospitals used to come to the campus for placements like sterling group of hospitals, wockard hospital, medanta hospital etc. The average package which was offered by hospital management companies and hospitals was 4-5 lpa.

The college is really very happening in terms of celebration of events in the college. Every small to big occasion is celebrated in the college with full zeal and enthusiasm. The best part was the college management hardly interfered in the celebrations. The student formed committees amongst themselves and the event management committee used to conduct all the events and students used to enjoy in their own way. The celebrations started with freshers party,diwali, rain festival, Janmashthmi, holi , foundation day, lohri etc it was all a real fun.

The fee I bored being in the hospital management 2 year course was 5 lakhs. This included the tution fee along with additional expenses. The hostel fee was separate and it was 35000 per year .The mess fee was also separate and it was 2500 per month for the students. The total fee was as such affordable for the students.

As such no any scholarship and loan is facility is offered by the college. All the students have to pay full fee for the course the student need to the student need to pursue.

The campus life is awesome completely gender ratio was higher on the female side. The college being from the science field, had 70% girls in the college. Iihmr was a city by in itself hostel parties were also conducted by the students the culture of the college was very relaxing and friendly students used to enjoy till late nights in garden etc of the college.

Hostels of iihmr are beautiful and well maintained. The hostels were made for both boys and girls students. All the hostels were made in a pattern of cubicles of 3 rooms. 3 rooms used to share a open space and toilet and bathroom. Housekeeping staff used to come daily in the morning for cleaning. Mess was good and 3 meals were served in mess with afternoon and evening tea, coffee and milks.

Almuni network of the college is very strong. We also have whatsapp groups for all the almuni and by that way we all stay connected. Even facebook groups and Google Groups have been created for alumni. The almuni are very supportive and help each other in placements and internships.

The college had a unique system of modular system of studies in the college. By that weran that one subject used to be taught in the college for 15 days. The subject was called a module. Exams of that particular module used to be conducted at the end of those 15 days only. Two week module wad the only time a student need to study a subject. After first week a presentation was prensted by a elected group and after second week a written paper was conducted for the students.

This college have a established reputation over 25 years in the field of health researches the college have flagship programdwith John Hopkins university as well. The faculty basically available here are health field researchers who are highly proficient in their field and provide in depth knowledge of the subject from research point of view as well.
