My College

Everything is good in College except for industrial exposure of the students during the course as we had only one internship in the last sem which was for only 1 month. So, if only the internship period was high or more then the students would have better exposure and value for their internship.

It is a and autonomous college affiliated to University of Madras. The course offered are up to date always updating each year depending on the industry needs. The exam structure has 2 types of exams CAs and semester finals. Each semester has 3 CAs where 2 are written exams and one is project based. Only 2 are compulsory. And then comes the semester finals. A student is only eligible to write SEM exam if he/her attendance is 75%+

Last semester of the college has a compulsory subject of internship were students are to do an internship whether paid or unpaid and finish a project in the same time. Placements are good in the college, Companies like Accenture, Deloitte, MGH, RBS etc come to MCC.

Many cultural tests fake place in MCC, main event of all is Deepwoods. Each department as it's own cultural fest. So, Almost every month is a fest in MCC for different departments and finally in February deepwoods is celebrated, it is the main college event.

MCC has a feasible fee structure as the college is divided into 2 Timings based on fee structure- morning college which is govt sponsored where fee is quite low and evening college where departments like BCA BBA are available and fee is still feasible

College has many types of scholarships available based on the immigration policy, sports, merit and many more. I haven't applied for the scholarship. So I am not particularly aware of the fundamentals of the scholarship

The extracurricular activities are really high in MCC. The college has many grounds and fields for different types of sports. The college excels in many sports in the inter college sports competition. And also the college has one of the best literary and debating teams in Chennai. And not to forget the theatre no.59 of MCC, it is a good opportunity for budding actors in college

MCC has Hall culture and it has old infrastructure and still facilities are good. I had rate 7/10 to the halls of MCC. There is room for alot of improvement but the hall cultural let's a person grow individually pretty good.

The alumni network of the college is really huge as the college is very old, probably one of the oldest colleges in India. Ty he college has a huge alumni funding as well. Many world class alumni like Indira Nooyi are from MCC

Madras Chouristian College is in one of the top10 colleges in India for BBA. As soon as my 12th grades were out, I applied in the college thourough it's online means. The cut off for the college is high, around 93% for CBSE students. They consider around four subjects to be compulsorily mentioned in the form and I chose to not mention the only subject that affected badly on my grades that is math. After applying online, after a few days we will be notified if the application is accepted or rejected.

The teachers are required to have a PhD to be qualified as a professor in MCC as for my knowledge. Each department has teachers that are qualified for the subjects of that department and mostly many teachers are dynamic in subjects and selected are for particular subjects.
