Remarks

The college overall is pretty great. However, the infrastructure lacks. We don't have a lot of classrooms due to which there are long breaks in between classes. Being a government college, there are also various strikes observed which disrupts the normal working of college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The current course structure, I believe, is a bit outdated as for the rest of DU. It is also extremely rigid. I believe, there needs to be more flexibility from the student's end. There is no focus on research. The exam system is extremely chilled with a 2 week long preparation leave right before exams. However, the days are extremely long leaving one very tired by the end. The exams occur at the end of each semester, each paper is for 75 marks. The rest 25 constitute internal assessment and attendance.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements and job opportunities could be better, not a lot of big names offer jobs to our students. However, the placement cell had been working and improving on this. We also hosted an internship fair this year with over 30 companies so the internships are definitely improving.

College Events

5

Our college hosts an annual cultural fest which has a footfall of over 10000 people. Other than that, each department also hosts their own fest which too has a footfall and participation of over 1000 students. A few societies like the debating society, Gandhi study circle and consumer club, placement cell also host their own events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is extremely feasible, it is inclusive to all classes and sects of people. The highest fees is 12000 per year. The college doesn't ask for any other money be it for exams or any administrative stuff.

Fees and Financial Aid

Due to the low fees, the college doesn't provide any concession on the fee. The fees is already subsidised. Thus, no scholarship or loan is required to bear the financial requirements.

Campus Life

3.5

The college is an only girls college. There are many societies in college like debating, theatre, dance, music etc allowing for people to take part in their interests. Other than this, we also have department societies and related societies like enactus, consumer club, Gandhi study circle, book club etc allowing for an all rounded growth. We also have a women development cell, equal opportunity cell etc for inclusion of all.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college doesn't provide a hostel facility. The people either live in with their parents or take a paying guest accommodation nearby. Due to the college's location being in south Delhi, the rent is high. On an average, people pay 15000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

The college alumni are very helpful and guide everyone with regards to placements, master's and internships. The senior students act as guides and keep us informed about the various opportunities and how to balance the courses. My experience in college has been largely shaped by the guidance of my seniors, they've told me about the opportunities outside of college and helped me get internships.

Admission

Just like the rest of the University of Delhi, KNC also follows admission on the basis of fulfillment of a particular cut off on the basis of the best of 4 subjects in 12th grade. Once the DU forms open, you fill in the common form with the courses of your choice. Then, as the lists come out, once your cut off is met, you visit the college in person wherein they verify your 12th grade marks and enrolled you. I chose Bcom H over the other courses becuase of the faculty KNC has for it and the department is regarded as the biggest with the highest placement opportunities.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is extremely qualified as they are all alumnus of Delhi University. They are also very passionate about their subjects and interested to teach. They are also very flexible with regards to the student's wishes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
