Course Curriculum Overview
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering is dream of so many. With this dream I went to TKIET college. It comes under Shivani University Kolhapur. With the guidelines of University, it is having 8 semester. Each semester consists of 5 theory subjects weightage 100marks and termworks.
Placement Experience
In Mechanical Engineering not much companies visited when we were in final year. But the companies like TCS, Kay bouyet came. TCS came for IT jobs. And many were selected in TCS. not many core companies visiting.
College Events
1. Every year annual gathering is celebrated with full enthusiasm and students participation. 2. National project competition- jidnyasa is held in every even semester. 3. National paper presentation competition- Eureka is also organised every year with so much great students participation. 4. Department wise so much events are used to organised.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Not much feasible, Not much expensive. I must say average. If you fall in any category then it's a bonus for you. I paid avg 54000 per year from OBC category. And other expenses like hostel fees, hostels are so much affordable you will get it by like 30000 per year including mess( food).
Fees and Financial Aid
College doesn't have it's own scholarship. You can avail scholarships which are given by government like tution fees waiver scheme, category wise scholarships, Economically Backward class scholarships. Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj hostel fees waiver scheme and much more.
Campus Life
Frankly speaking, sports activities are so much famous in TKIET. Because every year in LEAD college competitions our college is winning so much titles. In every games whether it is cricket, football, khokho, kabbadi, any. And saying about lab sessions, it is not good. Some are good and are average, it depends on your interest completely.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is not so good, but once you get familiar with atmosphere and hostel living you will begin to love the same. Mess food is also same with time you will like it. In mess you will get nonveg twice a week. And feast on every Sunday.
Alumni/Alumna
We are having our alumia page on Facebook, everyone is so much helping. If asked for any help everyone is there for helping you out. Never seen seniors like this. You will not see or face any kind of ragging activities here in college campus.
Admission
I got admission thourough Centralised Application process. It's a AICTE accredited college. So I have applied for BE in mechanical engineering course on basis of JEE score. I got selected in very first round of CAP. I HAVE 48 marks in JEE.
Faculty
Will not say all faculties are excellent, but some of the faculties are really excellent. By knowledge, teaching skills, notes and counseling. Yeah everywhere you will get some average things too, it is very obvious.
