Course Curriculum Overview

The exam curriculum is nice. First, we have to fill-up the form for wbjee entrance exam. Then a date has been allotted to us for the exam. When the results come in the form of ranks.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities are quite good. There are many companies like TCS, wipro and all other comes. Mostly TCS gives most of the jobs. The maximum package is 12 lakhs. And Asansol Engineering College is one of the most popular colleges in West Bengal that gives the maximum job opportunities.

Admission

I got the college by giving wbjee entrance exam. And this college has been allotted to me on the basis of my rank in wbjee. There are three rounds in allotment of college and I got the Asansol Engineering College on the second round.

Faculty

The faculty is quite nice. And we are given all opportunities to show our talents. There are many types of extracurricular activities that take place, where we can show our talents. The faculty is proper in Asansol Engineering College.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
