St. Joseph's College Of Commerce Admission

It's a great college with overall development of students. All aspects are stressed upon. Academics is never given second priority, but in Joseph's, an overall development is always aimed at. Extra curricular activities and sports are equally given importance.

Course structure is great. A variety of subjects are offered. From second year onwards, we are allowed to choose subjects that we want to study as our allied subjects along with our core. Exams take place twice a year. Once a semester. And 6 subjects are taught every semester

Placements in our college work very efficiently. The two main companies that came to give out internships during second year are Goldman Sachs and EY. Goldman Sachs offered around 60,000 rupees and EY gave out 20,000. Both these are preferred by our students.

We mainly organise thouree intra-collegiate fests. One is Cipher, which is our business fest, Eve's our Woman's fest and the Kalotsav, our cultural fest. Externally we have thouree fests which are Chanakya our business fest, Dhwani our cultural fest and Spiel our sports fest. Other than this, various associations organise intercollegiate and intracollegiate events.

BCom courses cost around 60-80k a year. BBA courses are 1,00,000 to 1,30,000 a year. There are various specialisations under Bcom and BBA. The fees varies accordingly. But the BCom regular course that I'm currently pursuing costs 60,000 a year.

There are management scholarships offered in college. Other than the regular subsidised fee structure that works out during admissions, there are management scholarships that are given out during the academic year. They are for economically backward students as well as co-curricular achievers.

Sports and extracurricular activities are highly encouraged in our college. There is a sports quota admission as well. Renowned players like Rahul Dravid are alumni of our institution. SJCC has been an active part of the bangalore and national festing circuit. The gender ratio of boys to girls is 3:1. Events continuously happen in our college thouroughout the year.

The alumni base in Joseph's is extremely well knit. There are many renowned alumni from our college that have graduated and reached places. The Old Students Association is quite active in our college and it's functioning. They provide a lot of support to students.

St. Joseph's College Of Commerce is one of the most renowned institutions in Bangalore. It broadly has two stream; BCom and BBA. I applied for Bcom (regular). My 12th standard marks were 94.5. I got in the merit list after submitting my marks. BBA students have to give an entrance test.

Most of the faculty in our college are PhD holder with lot of experience. We even have guest professional faculty as well that teach us few subjects. Our teachers are very open to students coming to them after classes as well. We've got a set of well qualified teachers in our college.
