College management has some issues sometimes but most of the times there isn't any issue and it is good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course and curriculum of this college is fair, relevant and research driven. We are provided with enormous opportunities to learn computer science. The curriculum is practical and practical knowledge of things is given importance here, which is a very good thing. Regular exams and quizzes are held for assessment.
Placement Experience
The college has a very good placement history with over 95% of the students getting placed. Companies like Directi, Microsoft, Infosys, Dell etc hire students every year.
College Events
The college holds great events like the literary festival of IIIT Bhubaneswar called Ingenium. And the techno-cult fest Advaita is the most awaited fest of every year. Other events and workshops are also held each year. The food fest is also attended by over 1500 people from all over the city
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is almost over 100000 rs. each semester. It is kind of expensive for a government college like IIIT Bhubaneswar. The hostel fees is 10000 rs a semester. The tuition fees is expensive. The food is not included in the fees. The students must buy coupons for food each week.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I didn't opt for any scholarship or education loan as my father is fully capable of bearing my expenses. So, I didn't opt for any scholarships.
Campus Life
Campus Life is good. The campus is decent in size. The residence and academic blocks are close although the campus is situated far from city. We have a few stores inside the campus where all the things of daily use are easily available. So, campus life is great in IIIT Bhubaneswar.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. I have opted for staying in hostel. There are single, double and triple rooms with charges 20000, 15000 and 10000. The rooms are good and spacious and there is laundry service available in hostel. We have water heaters and water coolers available. The hostel mess is in the hostel itself.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni association is pretty huge and strong. Every year there is an alumni meet where all batches of the college are invited.
Admission
I appeared for the JEE(Mains) exam in 2018 and was allocated a seat in IIIT Bhubaneswar on the basis of merit list. I opted for this because I was very much interested in Mathematics and Science, especially computer science. IIIT Bhubaneswar is a very reputable college, one of the best and getting into it was my childhood dream. So, I opted for this course.
Faculty
The faculty here is highly qualified and most of them are from universities like Harvard, Stanford and from various IITs, NITs and IIITs. The faculty not only help in class but also help after class. Overall, the faculty here is the best faculty ever.
