My experience

Certainly there are various remarks about our university but they are not all true.students here get good placement, surely with there hard work and students here are not only good in one thing but more than one.

Yes each year consists of two semesters. Each semester has got its own internal papers of all the subjects included in that semester. It's good but not that good, sometimes there is a lag in the academics or delay in result publications and different more stuffs.so needs to be improved.

The campus placement is really good in our college. Big multinational companies hire many students from different branches. Students also opt for internships and there are many companies who are giving chances to students

Tech-fest(srijan):-This is our main annual tech fest,apart from these there are many departmental workshops arranged by the students of all other various departments.The crowd in srijan is huge. Cultural fest(Sanskriti):-This is the main annual cultural fest which lasts for around 9 days.and it is said to be the durgapuja of jadavpur university.many different bands from different parts of the country arrive Inter department sports(arena)

It's quite low in our college.the fees here is very low as compared to all the engineering colleges across the country. Students from poor background from Bengal can easily afford to study engineering.there are many modes to pay such as DD/CHEQUE/CASH. There is a admission fee charged during your admission and that's around 5000 which will be your fees for the college for 2 years and after that next 5000 for the other two years in engineering courses. (except IT).

Yes college has different scholarship programs which is availed by many students.there are scholarships from government also.

The campus life is really good here.people are really social and friendly where you can see different art forms practiced by the students.there are many different clubs and societies such as drama club,debate club,science club, photography club,and most importantly for adventure sports enthusiast the college has its own mountaineering club,the club is runned by the students itself and hosts all different sorts of programs. There are many political parties in the university and there every stream has there own union and as such engineering student's also have union,where people discuss different problems of the campus,and takes it to the authority.

Yes I stay in the university hostel and admission here is quite simple.you just have to submit a form to the Dean of students and there will be a date for interview.after that students are alloted hostel as per the criteria.all rooms are sharing with a capacity of 2 students Apart from hostels pg's are available near the campus.the cost to stay in Pg will come around 5000 per month with food

The alumni network is extremely good.the alumnis are really helpful to us as they contribute in various different events organised by us and they still visit the campus.

I got this university thourough wbjee. This exam is Conducted yearly in the month of april-may(dates may change). Admission process is quite simple,after you get your merit in wbjee,then you can sit for the counselling of different engineering colleges and universities.on the basis of your rank you will get admissions to different colleges.

Some faculties are best in there field and have got high experience which is very fruitful to us but as said earlier some are not that good but you have to manage it. In our course the faculy strength is almost about 120.everyone has done PhD some are pursuing there post-doc.and some are highly experienced
